CHAPTER IV FINDINGS AND DISCUSSIONS

B. The Implementation Outcomes

The questionnaire data served as the foundation for collecting implementation outcomes data. After that, the researcher gave the students a test to gather further information before choosing which ones to interview.

Below is questionnaire data results.

Based on the table 4.2 above, the overall questionnaire implementation outcomes of web-based basic English grammar material of prepositions reaches 83.1%, which is categorized as very practical. Turning to the results of the analysis of the questionnaire, it showed that the seven measurable indicators with nine statements had fulfilled field related to the results of the implementation of web- based basic English grammar material for first-year students of the Department of English Education at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The results of the analysis can be seen below.

a. Acceptability

The term "acceptability" refers to how complex the content and materials on a website are. In addition, this relates to how comfortable the user is using it. Based on the questionnaire, shows that the acceptance criteria have been met. It can be presented by the following data display and the conclusion:

From the data above it shows that the results of questionnaire show that students' responses to acceptance of the website used are very positive, which is reinforced by their positive response during learning.

As shown by the respondents' responses, the website is easy to use, the explanations are easy to understand, and simple to use for learning grammar, because it helps them understand grammar, especially prepositions.

b. Adoption

Trying or making use of an innovation is called adoption. The adoption indicators have been met. Students are introduced to the media that will be used by researcher. This is supported by statements submitted by respondents.

Based on the data above, it can be concluded that respondents' responses vary regarding the implementation of the website. Others stated that they had visited a website like this to learn grammar, but three of them said it was the first time they had used it to learn grammar.

c. Appropriateness

Appropriateness is perceived suitability, relevance, or innovation (website). During the research, a number of activities were carried out to achieve these indicators. Based on the data, the results of the research show that the web-based basic English grammar material of prepositions have been designed according to the material. This is supported by statements submitted by respondents.

Based on the data previously provided, it can be concluded that the questionnaire results show that students are very positive about the appropriateness of the website. They can see whether the prepositions material on the website is in accordance with what the lecturer teaches in class, and whether the material on the website is in accordance with student learning needs. Based on the respondents' responses, they indicated that the content is very relevant to the prepositions material.

d. Cost

The implementation cost indicator shows how much money researcher spent during the implementation phase. Although this research tool can be accessed via the internet and does not require paper to convey grammar material, there is still a cost. In these circumstances, participants' devices and their data packages or internet quota are used to access the website.

e. Feasibility

The ability of an innovation, such as a website, to be implemented or used successfully is referred to as feasibility. The result show that the website can be used as a learning resource for students who want to learn basic English grammar especially prepositions. It can also be used by students every day. This is supported by the statements of respondents.

f. Fidelity

In this case, fidelity is defined as the extent to which the intervention is carried out in accordance with the initial instructions of the protocol or the initial intentions of the researcher. Based on the results of questionnaire, it shows that all instructions were carried out in accordance with what was planned by the previous researcher.

Namely by starting the meeting by giving a greeting and also introducing yourself. After that, explain the material on the website, especially the prepositions material according to the agenda. This is marked by the fulfillment of fidelity indicators.

g. Sustainability

The sustainability indicator has been met. In this case, sustainability means that new innovations continue to be used and function well. Respondents’ statements from the interviews reinforce this.

Based on the data previously provided, it can be concluded that the questionnaire results show that student responses to the sustainability of the website are very positive. This can be seen from the respondents' statements that this website is useful for future use and the material is quite complete and easy to understand. In addition, they will access this website as an option to find grammar-related content to improve their understanding of grammar material.

Based on the questionnaire results, it can be concluded that utilizing web-based basic English grammar material for prepositions has fulfilled the objective. For the first-year students of the Department of English Education at UIN Alauddin Makassar, the criteria for implementation outcomes, such as acceptability, adoption, suitability, cost, feasibility, fidelity, and sustainability.

In addition, five students each with the highest, medium, lowest scores, were selected for the interview show that the website can help them learn prepositions. They also found that using website could improve their understanding of the things in prepositions. This, however does not match their perceived poor test scores.

The results of the questionnaire are in accordance with (Proctor et al., 2011) regarding implementation outcomes indicators, which include acceptability, adoption, suitability, cost, feasibility, fidelity, and sustainability. The result show that the website is feasible to perform the task. The result can be used to teach English, especially prepositions material.

As can be on the discussion above, web-based basic English grammar materials of prepositions can be used as supplementary resource for the students of English education department at UIN Alauddin Makassar to learning prepositions. This is supported by the opinion of Thamrin et al (2019) that information technology makes a positive contribution in the world of education. Barriers to teaching and

learning; lack of reference, space and time, can be solved through the implementation of technology. Learning by using technology, makes all students think that teaching and learning grammar is effective, efficient, and interesting. Addition from Oktaviani (2019) that the use of web-based learning has many undeniable benefits, such as unlimited time and place limits, increasing the quality of life and the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational experience for both lecturers and students.

Tests, questionnaire, and interviews have been used to evaluate implementation outcomes. The results of the study indicate that this website is suitable for use in English learning activities, especially prepositions material, for first-year students majoring in English education at UIN Alauddin Makassar.
