Since entering Congress in 1967, Rep. Mccloskey has been interested in environmental and conservation legislation. These domestic interests were overshadowed by his forceful opposition to United States involvement in Indochina which led to his entry in the 1972 Republican Presidential primaries, opposing President Nixon. His speech at the law day dinner is expected to relate to the national law day suggested topic -- "Youth of

America, Lead the Way . . . Help Change Bad Laws, Preserve Good Laws."

On Monday a team of law students will take up the topic as they begin a series of speaking engagements in several Indianapolis-area high schools.

On Tuesday at 3 p.m. the Indiana State Supreme Court will sit in open session in the Moot Court Room of the Indianapolis Law School to hear an oral argument in a civil case.

Also on Tuesday representatives from eight major fields open to attorneys will take part in placement day. Each representative will explain the opportunities in his field.
