ABSTRACT

Laila Jaha. 181230098. 2022. “The Effectiveness of using Web Graphic Organizer to enhance student’s writing skill on descriptive text” ( A Quasi - Experimental research in tenth grade of MA Raudhlatul Ulum Anyer).

This research aims to measure the effectiveness of using Web Graphic Organizer to enhance student’s writing skill on descriptive text. There were three research questions proposed in this study, namely : 1) How are the students writing skill on descriptive text before treatment? 2) How the implementation of web graphic organizer 3) How is the effectiveness of Web Graphic Organizer to enhance student’s writing skill on descriptive text. The research design of this study consist of pre-test, treatment and post-test where X A class acts as experimental class and X B class acts as control class. Then they were divided into two groups, experimental and control. In the process of treatment, the experimental group received Web Graphic Organizer as learning media, while the control group receive the conventional teaching. The final finding of this study showed that t0 on degree of significance 5% that was 1.67 Therefore, the result of t-test showed that t0 < tt or 3.43 > 1.67. In brief, t-test show that Ha or alternative hypothesis was accepted. The hypothesis test shows the effect size in this study is 0.85, while strong effect category is (0.51->1.00). In other words, It can be drawn a conclusion that there is a significant effect of using Web Graphic Organizer to enhance student’s

writing skill on descriptive text at the tenth grade of MA Raudhlatul Ulum Anyer.

A BRIEF BIOGHRAPHY

The writer, Laila Jaha, was born on August 29th, 1999. She is the fifth child from five siblings, she finished her Elementary Education at MI Pabuaran Jaha in 2011, whereas her junior high school education was finished at MTsN 1 Anyer in 2014, and she finished her senior high school also at MA 1 Al- Bustaniyah Kota Cilegon in 2017. After graduated in senior high school she continued her education by joining undergraduate program of English Education Department, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at The State Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten.

I dedicate this paper to my beloved parents Mr. Tajuddin Jaha and Mrs. Haifa Quraisyin, who always gave me their best prayer, greates love, motivation, spirit and so many things that I cannot count all of it.

My best friend ever Eva Alawiyah, Anggi Maulidya, Mahzar Sulana who gave me big support, confident, strenght and always accompanies me in every situation.
