Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh antara UMKM sektor kuliner dan fashion terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di kota medan
Data yang digunakan adalah data time series tahun 2014-2020 yang bersumber dari Kantor Badan Pusat Statistik Sumatera Utara (BPS Sumut) dan dinas koperasi kota medan dan juga ditunjang oleh daftar pustaka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Regresi Linier sederhana yang diarahkan untuk menganalisis kebenaran data untuk mengetahui pengaruh antar variabel independen dan variabel dependen. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa variable UMKM berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan Kota Medan nilai signifikansi 0,166 > 0,05, dimana UMKM memiliki pengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dimana t-hitung 1.622 dengan nilai Rsquare besarnya nilai 0,345 kontribusi yang ditimbulkan yaitu 34,5%, sisanya 65,5% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti.

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between the culinary and fashion sector UMKM on economic growth in the city of Medan
The data used is time series data for 2014-2020 which is sourced from the Office of the Central Statistics Agency for North Sumatra (BPS Sumut) and the Medan City Cooperative Service and is also supported by a bibliography. This study uses a simple Linear Regression method which is directed to analyze the truth of the data to determine the effect between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The results of this study can be concluded that the UMKM variable has no significant effect on the growth of Medan City, a significance value of 0.166>
0.05, where UMKM have an insignificant effect on economic growth where the t- count is 1.622 with an Rsquare value of 0.345 the contribution made is 34, 5%, the remaining 65.5% is influenced by other variables not examined.
