Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan latar belakang pendidikan mahasiswi pendidikan bahasa arab terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa arab di Ma’had Al-birr universitas Makassar dengan permasalahan; 1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana latar belakang pendidikan mahasiswi pendidikan Bahasa Arab mustawa tsani’ Ma’had al-Birr Universitas muhammadiyah Makassar? 2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan berbicara bahasa Arab Mahasiswi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab mustawa tsani Ma’had al-Birr Universitas muhammadiyah Makassar? 3) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan latar belakang pendidikan Mahasiswi terhadap kemampuan berbicara bahasa Arab mustawa tsani’ Ma’had Al-Biir Universitas Makassar?
jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian kualitatif menggunakan analisis secara induktif, proses pengumpulan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata, gambar, bukan angkah-angkah. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi pendidikan bahasa arab mustawa tsani’ ma’had Al-birr unismuh Makassar.
Adapun teknik pengumpulan data teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.
Hasil penelitian analisis hubungan latar belakang pendidikan mahasiswi terhadap kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Arab memiliki hubungan hal tersebut ditandai dengan kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Arab mahasiswi yang latar belakang pendidikan dari pondok pesantren lebih memahami dan menguasai Bahasa Arab di perkuliahan di bandingkan sebagian mahasiswi yang latar belakang sekolah umum mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari Bahasa Arab disebabkan karena kurang pengetahuan tentang Bahasa Arab

This research is a field research to find out how the relationship between the educational background of Arabic students and the ability to speak Arabic at Ma'had Al-birr, Makassar University with problems; 1) To find out what is the educational background of mustawa tsani' Ma'had al-Birr Arabic education student at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar? 2) To find out how the Arabic language education student mustawa tsani Ma'had al-Birr at the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar is speaking? 3) To find out how the relationship between the educational background of students and the ability to speak Arabic mustawa tsani 'Ma'had Al-Biir Makassar University?
The type of research used is qualitative research using inductive analysis, the process of collecting descriptive data in the form of words, pictures, not numbers. The subjects in this study were students of Arabic education mustawa tsani 'ma'had Al-birr unismuh Makassar. The data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation techniques
The results of the analysis of the relationship between the educational background of female students and the ability to speak Arabic have a relationship, this is indicated by the ability to speak Arabic. Students whose educational background is from Islamic boarding schools understand and master Arabic more in lectures compared to some students who have a public school background. in learning Arabic due to lack of knowledge about Arabic
