Work Study oppurtunity
The Division of Performing Arts is seeking Scene Shop Workstudy students for the Spring Semester.
We are looking for dedicated students with skills in wood working, welding, and scenic painting for set and props construction.

New theater class -- Audition! Getting the Role
AUDITION! Getting the Role! being taught by Steve Crosby. Please note that times and days are
listed as TBA.

Another new theater class!
Performance Lab Thea 242 Spring 2007 meets T,W,Th, and F. It is a three credit course taught by Dr.
Becky Prophet.
Students will engage in techniques, practice, and performance for : Reading new plays in site-specific presentations
Participate in a national play festival, 365 Days/365 Plays by Suzann Lori Parks Preparing and presenting auditions/demos for radio, television, and theater Creating, performing, and perhaps airing a short radio piece
Creating, performing, and perhaps airing a short television piece Creating and performing a short theatrer piece

Evening study hours at the CDC
Are you looking for a place to study at night?
The Career Development Center (CDC) continues to offer evening study hours. The CDC has wireless access, five small study rooms, a large room with seating for 22, four PCs and one Mac computer.
The CDC is located in the Steinheim building, above the Powell Campus Center.
Regular Hours
Jan. 21, 2007 - May 1, 2007
Sunday -Wednesday 7:00 p.m.-Midnight Thursday 7-11 p.m.

ASC offers tickets for 'Madama Butterfly' bus trip
The Alfred State College Cultural Life Committee is sponsoring a bus trip to see "Madama Butterfly" in New York City. Alfred University faculty, staff and students are invited to participate as well.
The bus will leave ASC at 4 a.m. Sunday, March 25. Cost is $65 per person and includes admission to the musical. The bus will depart from New York City at 9 that evening after the performance. To purchase a ticket, contact Kandie Carlson in the Alfred State College Student Activities Office in the Orvis Activities Center by Feb. 3, 2007. Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first- served basis.
