Financial Aid Application deadline 3/15/2007 APPLICATION DEADLINE: THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 2007

To apply for University need-based aid, students must complete both the Alfred University Financial Aid Application (AU AP) and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by this date.

To apply for University awarded federal need-based aid only (Perkins Loan, SEOG, and College Work- Study), students must complete a FAFSA by this date.

Because need-based aid is limited, late applicants should expect to receive reduced funding. AU APs received at the Student Financial Aid Office and FAFSAs received by the federal processor after March 15, 2007 will be considered late.

Special note regarding Federal Work-Study: Students who do not meet the application deadline or have not completed the verification process by May 31, 2007 will not receive a Federal College Work- Study award.

The AU Financial Aid Application and filing instructions for the 2007-08 academic year were placed in your Powell Campus mailbox prior to the December semester break. If you did not receive an application packet or have misplaced it, please pick one up at the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

PLEASE NOTE:

If you had an expected graduation date for May 2007, a financial aid application was not placed in your mailbox. If you plan to return to AU for the 2007-08 academic year and did not receive an application packet, please pick one up at the Financial Aid Office.
