It was voted that the Trustees should express their approval of Dean Main's plan to write a Manual of Biblical Theology, and express their gratitude to him for his willingness to do so; and that the arrangement of the details be left to the Faculty of the Theological Seminary and subject to the approval of the President of the University. The Faculty of the Theological Seminary presented a communication recommending the award of the degree of Bachelor of Divinity to the following gentlemen who have completed their training at the Seminary; Rev. Tomlinson, librarian, reported that 1,237 volumes were added to the library during the year, of which 450 were purchased and 767 presented.
The contributions include 465 volumes bequeathed to the University by the late Miss Lucinda Ford and a set of the records of the War of the Rebellion presented by Han. The question of location of the space for the new library building was, by decision, referred to the executive committee with power of attorney.

MEMORIAL OF THOMAS EDGAR STILLMAN
Their father, Alfred Stillman, was one of the most promising civil and mechanical engineers of his day and one of New York's most public-spirited citizens. Stillman often said that the foundation of the Admiralty business, which he controlled and which became an important factor in his firm's general business, was the case of the Circassian. Appendix E 105 reorganization gives only a hint of his driving activity and of the confidence of his clients.
He was a trustee of that church from 1883 to 1904, and was president of the Board of Trustees for FOilr terms. Stillman was one of the signers of the call made in December, 1869, for the organization of this association.
