THE USE OF COLLABORATIVE SCRIPTING TECHNIQUES ON STUDENTS' SPEAKING SKILLS AMONG THE TENTH. The purpose of the study was to find out whether the use of the Cooperative Script Technique will be able to affect the speaking skills of the students at MA Ma'arif NU 5 Sekampung East Lampung. The result of this research shows that Cooperative Script Technique as a technique has positive results in students' speaking skills among the tenth graders at MA Ma'arif NU 5 Sekampung.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik collaborative writing sebagai teknik memberikan hasil yang positif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas X MA Ma'arif NU 5 Sekampung.

By using the cooperative scripting technique in teaching speaking, students' speaking ability is an indicator that becomes the subject of a research problem. Based on the above theoretical framework, the writer illustrates a paradigm of the influence of the collaborative writing technique on students' speaking skills. Based on the picture above, the collaborative scenario technique will affect the speaking skill of the students.

The author assumes that there are positive and significant benefits to using Cooperative Script Technique for the student's fluency.

The Operational Definition of Variables

So that every member of the population in this study has a chance to become a sample. After choosing the tenth graders, the researcher has to randomly choose a group from the subject study. This variable will be measured through questionnaires to determine the influence of cooperative scripting technique on students' speaking skills.

The dependent variable is the measure of the effect of the independent variable. 37 The dependent variable is called dependent because it is influenced by the independent variable. 38 The dependent variable is the variable which is observed and measured to determine the influence of the independent variable. The pre-test will be given to students before a treatment is given to measure the student's prior knowledge of speaking ability. It will be done to know the speaking ability of the students, the researcher uses the oral test.

After conducting the discussion, the writer will give the students a posttest to find out the result of the discussion, whether the use of collaborative writing technique is effective or not to enrich the students' speaking skills. The test in this research is a speaking test where the writer gives a script and asks them to read and summarize and talk about the main idea of ​​the text in front of the class. During the test (oral exam), the writer used a tape recorder to record the test result for the students.

So it can be heard or seen again when the writer wants to get information about the result of the student test. This means that with the recorder we can know and remember some activities in class with the students.

Instrument of Research

To measure the students' speaking ability, the author used the pre-test before giving the treatment. The author conducted pre-test in the first meeting of this research to find out the initial difference between the class that similar level. The result of pretest (experimental class) in speaking skill at MA Ma'arif NU 5 Sekampung.

The post-test was conducted in order to target the speaking ability of the students after the treatment. Then, the result of the post-test can be seen in Table 7. Post-test (Experimental Class) in the tenth grade of MA Ma'arif. NU 5 Sekampung No name Explanation after the students' test. To measure students' speaking ability, the writer used the pre-test before giving the post-test.

The writer administered a pretest to determine the initial difference between the class and a similar level. MA Ma’arif NU 05 Sekampung Preliminary Examination Result (Control Class) in Public Speaking. This is the reason why the writer chose the cooperative scenario technique for students' speaking skill in MA Ma‟arif NU 5 Sekampung East Lampung.

From the above explanation, we can conclude that the student's post-test score was better than the student's pre-test. The Effect of Using Collaborative Writing Technique on the Speaking Skill of Students at MA Ma’arif NU 5 Sekampung East Lampung.

The Influence of Using Cooperative Script Technique on The Students’ Speaking Skill At MA Ma’arif NU 5 Sekampung East Lampung

Based on the above table, it can be concluded that the significance of all the data of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov or Shapiro-Wilk test is as follows. The statistical test used for this test is the Levene statistic: α 5% assisted by the SPSS application.

Discussion

Posttest results show that the highest score is 88, the lowest score is 40, and the average score is 72.2. As a solution in teaching English, especially in finding specific information in a part of the text, the teacher offers some methods to arouse students' interest and attention so that they will not be bored to catch the material. When the students are interested in the material given by the researcher, the students will understand the material more easily.

Based on the above discussion, the author concludes that the speaking skills of the students are improved after they have learned through the collaborative writing technique. It means that there is a significant effect on speaking skills between students taught using collaborative writing technique in the experimental class and students not taught using collaborative writing technique in the control class.

Limitation

Finally, the result of this research explains the theory of collaborative writing technique towards students' speaking skill at the tenth grade of MA Ma‟arif NU 05 Sekampung East Lampung. Based on the result of the research, the researcher comes to the conclusion that Cooperative Writing Technique helps students to speak. The students got a low score in pre-test, after the treatment given, the students can speak easily using Cooperative Script Technique.

It means that there is a positive and significant influence of the use of collaborative writing technique on the speaking skills of students in the tenth grade of MA Ma‟arif NU 5 Sekampung.
