The author will observe class VIII students and test them on their knowledge of slang terms. Several tools, including Zoom, Google Classroom, Edmodo, Google Meet, email and WhatsApp, have been used during online English teaching. One of the effective technologies that can be used to replace a real face-to-face meeting with the students is Zoom.
For students to study English online, instructors provide all the necessary learning resources and create a pleasant learning atmosphere.

Previous Study
Due to an interesting Indonesian phenomenon, new language records are appearing on social media websites such as Facebook and SMS. It should be kept to a minimum on social media to limit the use of Ale language as much as possible. Therefore, this study aims to analyze in more detail the form, purpose and meaning of current slang, focusing on how it is used through social media.
The information was collected through observations of the use of slang on various social media platforms, after which the slang was categorized according to its type and word structure. Based on information obtained from various social media platforms, slang usage is quite diverse, showing that slang is still evolving and becoming more common in written language on platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp and Facebook. As a researcher, I can draw several conclusions from this study about the nature and use of slang on social media.
Fresh and creative, quirky, imitative, acronymic and cutting edge are among the types of jargon used on social media. Jargon is constantly evolving and is widely used in written language on social networking sites such as Referring to the previous findings above, it shows that English slang words in social media are used by students or teenagers.
Through this study, the author will give some understanding of slang words to the students.
