How is the distractor effectiveness of final test items for high school in SMA Negeri 3 Parepare. If the test items show the degree of agreement, we can conclude that the measurement result of the test is stable. The difficulty index indicates the level of difficulty of the test item so that the test item with an index of.

To find out the effectiveness of the distractor researcher, the number of students in the top group and the bottom group choosing the distractor is divided by the number of students and then multiplied by 100%. This part was also present the data analysis of the quality of the final test. The final test of the second grade student of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare academic year 2020/2021 made by the teacher was used to collect data and find out the quality of the final test.

For example, in the first item of the test, there were 58 students who took the test and the test had 30 questions, all the questions were multiple choice. And out of 58 students, there were 38 students who answered the first item of the test correctly and the index of the difficulty of the test was 0.64 (see Appendix 4). To be clear, the researcher provides a table that gave a brief description of the discrimination of each item.

For clarity, the researcher provides a table briefly describing the effectiveness of distractors for each item. We can conclude that the outcome of the existing data on the effectiveness of the distractor of the final test for second-degree SMA Negeri 3 Parepare indicated that there are several distractors that need to be replaced because they have a low distracting capacity that is lower than 5%. The findings data show that twenty-one items from the final test were valid and nine items were invalid.

The third column provides information on the table of the critical value of product moment with the level significance of 95%. Based on the table above, the author could conclude that the outcome of the existing data of the test reported that twenty one items were valid and nine items were invalid. Arikunto said that it emphasizes that an item is considered reliable if the coefficient correlation of each item is higher or equal to the table of the critical value of product moment with the level of significance 95%.

Referring to the table above, the writer can conclude that the reliability of the results of these items using the Spearman-Brown product moment showed that the reliability index of the final test for the second grade student of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare was reliable as the reliability index was 0.972 which is was higher than the table of values ​​of the critical product moment. Referring to the results of the final test data for the second grade of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare academic year 2020/2021, six items have an excellent ranking with a score range of 0.70-1.00. Based on the findings, the outcome of the existing data on the distractor performance of the final test for the second grade of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare reported that there are several distractors that need to be replaced because it has a low distracting power that is lower than 5%. .

Based on the findings, the result of the existing test data reported that twenty-one items were valid and nine were invalid. Referring to the data result, the reliability of the score of these items using the Spearman-Brown product moment showed that the reliability index of the final test for the second grade student of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare was reliable as the reliability index was 0.972 which was higher than the Critical Moment Table Value of the product. Since the findings of the quality of the final test for the secondary high school in the second grade SMA Negeri 3 Parepare, the article was found to be invalid, should be revised or even removed by the teacher.

This test is used to find the level of difficulty, the effectiveness of the distractor, the validity and how is the reliability of the final test items of the English teacher.

Before applying the test to the students, each test item should be analyzed, revised and tested by the teacher to have valid, reliable and put more concern on the distracting selection of each test item. In order to construct an ideal test, the teachers of SMA Negeri 3 Parepare must possess the knowledge of language testing and assessment, also allow time for the construction of test items;. The test which is used several times should be adapted and the teachers should make some necessary changes before using it again to cope with the current situation.

Others may have migrated to a new culture where they must learn another language to participate in the adopted society. Some may study another language at secondary school or university while living in their own culture.
