Achievement of Course Learning After following the Animal Genetic course FKH third semester students can understand the application of the theory of inheritance to breeding mating systems for animals that are commercially functioning or for breeding, especially in order to improve productivity, health and body resistance to disease properly

8. Course Description

The subject of Animal Genetic provides basic knowledge about: Objectives, benefits and uses of Animal Genetic, Genetic Basics, Terms used in genetic science, Fertilization, Chromosomes, Principles of breeding, Mendel's Law, Genes' traits, Genotypic frequency, frequency and phenotype ratio, continuous variation (continuous) and non-continuous (discontinuous), calculating probability by Chi-square (X2) analysis, Breeding population, Hardy-Wenberg Law, random and non-random crossing, understanding frequency and occurrence of changes genotype frequency, gene frequency hypothesis, measurement of properties, mean

1. TASK OBJECTIVES:Understand, apply and develop knowledge about genetic aspects that have relevance to the marriage system and genetic applications, especially animal / livestock breeding programs properly and correctlyand present opinions academically.

2. DESCRIPTION OF TASK:

a. The claim object: Animal Genetic, Introduction, genetic aspects that have relevance to the marriage system and genetic applications especially animal / livestock breeding programs properly and correctly

b. What to do and restrictions:

Students work on individual assignments in the form of Student Papers that must be collected according to the finished learning topic. The task of the student group is divided into a maximum of 5 people to present a resume of several scientific articles on the topic given.
