Mechanics refers to the conventional use of language graphics, ie. to the step of arranging letters, words and paragraphs using knowledge of structure and some others that are related to each other. Debate is a genre that has the social function of presenting (at least) two views on a problem.

Analytical ExpositionText

The generic structure of analytical exposition consists of three main parts: thesis, arguments, and repetition. The first part is called thesis. Furthermore, the thesis is also used as the outline of the main argument to be presented. Second part is called argument.

Description of Treffinger Method

Based on some statements above, it can be concluded that the treffinger learning model is a learning model that invites students to think creatively in solving problems by paying attention to important facts found in the environment and then bringing ideas and choosing the right solution to implemented in reality. Generating ideas is lifting the idea: the teacher gives students time and opportunity to express their ideas and also guides students to agree on the alternative problem solution that will be tested. Come up with ideas: Teachers give students time and opportunity to express their ideas and also guide students to agree on alternative solutions to be tried.

Develop Solutions: Teachers encourage students to gather the right information, conduct experiments to get explanations and solve the problems. The teacher asked the students to give the statement about an event happening around her/his.

Conceptual Framework

The teacher asks and shows the students the advantages of mastering the writing of analytical expository text. The teacher's explanation describes the purpose and step of the Treffinger Method in teaching Analytical Expository Writing. Many factors influenced the ability of students to learn, the main factors were the students themselves and the other factors were the internal factor (student) and the external factor (outside the student) such as the school, the teacher, the environmental factor, etc. The teacher who taught the students to use some strategies in teaching learning because strategy was the most important factor in language teaching. The teacher's strategy could help the students understand the lesson easily. Strategy can influence someone to want to do something. The teacher should use the right strategy in teaching the language because it could make the students have interest to join the lesson so that they study more seriously and their skill would be better.

There were many strategies that could be used in teaching learning, especially in teaching analytical expository text, one of which is the treffinger method. By applying Treffinger Method, the researcher hopes that the students' ability to write analytical expository text will be increased.

Relevance Study

In the implementation of learning with the help of supported Student Worksheet (LSK) to the ability of creative thinking. This means that it is rejected and accepted, so there is an increase in creative thinking with the help of the Treffinger assisted LKS . Sari, Afiana Yuli and Dwi Fauzia Putra (2015) Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Treffinger täpagan Amabilidad Berpikir Kritis en Kreatif Mahasiswa Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang. The influence of Treffinger learning model on the critical and creative thinking skill of university student of Kanjuruhan Malang). The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of Treffinger learning model on students' critical and creative thinking ability.

The average gain score for creative thinking ability in the experimental class is 30.3, while the control class is 17.2. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so that there is an influence from the Treffinger learning model on the ability to think critically and creatively.

Hypothesis

Based on the obtained calculation result, the average critical thinking ability score in the experimental class is equal to 30.9, while in the control class it is equal to 15.2. In addition, the result of the t test analysis of the independent sample t test shows that in the learning model, the Treffinger value A p-level of 0.00 is less than 0.05. The school was chosen because, based on the researcher's experience during the teaching practice at the school, there was a problem regarding the ability of the students to write the text of the analytical exposition.

Furthermore, the findings were relevant to the development of students' analytical expository writing skills in that school.

The Technique of Collecting Data

After teaching both experimental and control groups, the teacher gave a post-test to each student in both experimental and control groups to know their mean score of experimental group and control group and control group after receiving treatment. The researcher used post-test to know the effect of applying Treffinger method on students' performance in writing analytical expository text.

The Technique of Analyzing Data

Data Collection

The data shown in the table above from this research consists of the students' initial (sample) and the students' scores in the pretest of the experimental group can be seen in table 4.1 above. The data in table 4.1 showed that the highest pretest score in experimental group was 77 and the lowest was 57. Data from this study students' initial (sample) and students' posttest scores of experimental group can be seen in table 4.2 above.

The data in Table 4.2 showed that the highest posttest score was 89 and the lowest was 66.

The data from this research the students' initial (sample) and the students' score in the post-test of the control group can be seen in table 4.4 above. The data in the table 4.4 showed that the highest score of post-test was 83 and the lowest was 63. Based on the data in table 4.1 and the 4.2 showed that the average score of post-test in experimental group was 78.76 and the average score of control group was 74.73.

The data showed that the average score of students in the experimental group received that lesson.

Data Analysis

Based on Table 4.5 above, it can be seen that there were differences between the pre-test and post-test results of the experimental class. For the experimental class, the lowest score was 58 and the highest was 89 for the pre-test and the lowest score was 58 and the highest was 89 for the post-test. For the control class, the lowest score was 58 and the highest was 74 for the pre-test and the lowest score was 63 and the highest was 83 for the post-test.

  • Research Findings
  • Conclusions
  • Suggestions

Ha: p = 0, there is a significant effect of applying the hitfinger method on the students' performance in writing analytical statements. Ho: p= 0, there is no significant effect of applying the Treffinger method on the students' performance in writing analytical statements. Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted or "there was the effect of applying the Treffinger method on the students' performance in writing analytical statements".

This meant the effect of X-variable or the effect of applying Treffinger method on the students' performance in writing analytical expository text was 25.86% and 74.14% was influenced by other factors. The fact therefore showed that the students' writing performance in analytical expository text was more significant than that through the use of conventional method.
