AU Libraries Faculty Meeting

March 6th, 2019

Present: Ellen Bahr, Samantha Dannick, John Hosford, Laurie Lounsberry McFadden, Mechele Romanchock, Mark Smith, Brian Sullivan.

1. Approved of Minutes for 2/20/19 Meeting 2. Updates

 Desk install in Scholes happening Thurs 3/7 and Fri 3/8.

 Open House-35 students attended. Not the intended audience of International students but still a good sized crowd.

3. For shared documents, such as workflows – where is the best location to house?

 LibGuides are best for finished documents-not shared works in progress. Teams should still collaborate in whatever platform they’re already using. The AU Libraries Teams LibGuide will be used to collect finished policy and workflows. Once information is uploaded Brian will re-

organize if needed.

4. Communication between Teams, Supervisors, etc.

 Be mindful of staff that cross teams and supervisors and err on the side of over-communication when discussing questions, issues and new projects. Supervisors should be folded in regarding workload issues, but in regards to workflows of known duties Team leaders can work directly with team members.

5. Primo Configuration Update

 Sam and John demonstrated the work they have been doing configuring Primo.

 Librarians are encouraged to try out the Primo test instance and share ideas and feedback with Sam and John.

6. Budget Update/Review

 Discussion of budget topics such as upcoming conference travel and remaining (fiscal) year end purchases.

7. Dean’s Time

 Dean shared updates.

 Next Meeting: 3/27/19 – 2-3:30, Scholes Conference Room (202); Secretary – Brian
