Eileen Jones Retired from 51
Eileen Jones, Associate Director for Grants and Administration at the Development Office in Washington, D.C., retired from STRl on January 2nd. Eileen started working for the Smithsonian Institution in 1968.
Previous to that she worked at the US. Department of State, and before corning to STRI in 1996, she had worked at SI offices of the Under Secretary, the General Counsel, the former Coordinator of Public Information, and the Office of Public Affairs. At STRI she managed the international grants program dealing with donors and international agencies. All through her career at the Smithsonian she contributed with voluntary work ,'lith theSmilhsonian

After retirement, Eileen will continue to work with the 51 Study Tours and she and husband Dennis-who will also retire this coming year from IBM- will start joining them in tropical adventures like going to the Amazon and Machu Picchu later this year.
