The historical facts about Mrs. Eddy and the analysis of her character recited in this chapter are drawn from two sources; each will be treated separately from the others. Later still, when McClure's Magazine decided to publish Mrs. Eddy's and Christian Science's disclosure, Mr. Peabody was hired to collect the data to be used by the author of the McClure articles, and in this work he went even further into on the matters pertaining to Christian Science and her foster mother. But when Peabody's book came out, it quoted the following statement above Mrs. Eddy's signature in The Portland, Maine, Evening Courier of November 7, 1862:.

28:19 our Lord himself said to his disciples after his resurrection: "Go therefore, teach all nations, and baptize them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." And behold, you will conceive and bring a son into the world and you must call his name Jesus." On· page 25, "The material blood of Jesus was no more effective when it was poured on the 'cursed tree' than when it flowed in His veins."

Again on page 585 of the same edition she asserts that Christian Science is Elias, her exact linguistic being," Elias, Prophecy; spiritual evidence as opposed to material sense; Christian Science, whereby the spiritual fact may be distinguished from whatever the material senses. sight; the basis of immortality." Eddy clearly approved on her behalf the claim that she herself was the chosen successor of and equal to Jesus." The laws of the land must provide, as in some States, for the punishment of such cruel offences.".
CHAPTER VI
These ideas range from small infinity to infinity, and the highest ideas are the sons and daughters of God." Now which is clearer. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." CHAPTER VIII
In John 5:43 Jesus says: "I have come in my Father's name, and you do not receive me; if another comes in his name, you will receive him." And in Matthew 24:24 He says, "For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." In II Thes. 34; Even he, whose coming is after the work of Satan with all power, with signs and false wonders." In I Tim. 4:1-3 Paul again says: "Now the Spirit expressly says that in the last times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their consciences seared with a hot iron;.
By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it should come, and even now it is already in the world.” When Mrs. Eddy expressly denies that Jesus and Christ were the same, it actually denies the existence of flesh, she denies , that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. The author takes no patients and refuses medical consultation." Indeed, the old girl was cunning.
Therefore it is no great thing if his servants also become servants of righteousness." II Cor. APPENDIX

Since Christian Science does not do these works in the name of the true Christ, who is the Son of God, it cannot do them in the name of the Father, who is one with the Son. Since Christian Science does not do these works in the name of the true Father or the true Son, it cannot do them in the power of the Spirit who comes in the name of the Father and the Son.
