Conceptof Speaking

DefinitionofSpeaking

Conceptualization: Conceptualization is meant when the speaker can reveal the meaning of the information he has. Formulation: Formulation refers to how a speaker can form words into sentences given the information. There are several language components that affect a speaker's ability to speak, the most important of which are: vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.

Pronunciation is how one speaker pronounced a word correctly, while accent or dialect is a model of someone speaking a language. Affective factors affect a person's ability to speak, which includes anxiety, motivation, self-confidence, and so on.14 On the affective factor, a speaker may speak quietly while thinking about vocabulary, be nervous and forget the grammar arrangement.

DefinitionofBilingualism

DefinitionofBilingual

For almost the last two centuries, English has become the language of the target language bilingual person.18. This means that a bilingual has a language that he often uses in his daily life, that is why a bilingual sometimes has a dominant language that he often uses. A bilingual will see who he is talking to and for what purpose he is using the language.

This means that a bilingual living in an environment using Javanese will use Javanese. However, if it is in an Indonesian language environment, then it will also use Indonesian. It is rare that a bilingual's command of a language has the same effect on the other languages he speaks fluently.

This is because of the use of language that he often uses in his daily life. This is because of their need for language and their environment which requires them to communicate in certain languages. There is a bilingual who is divided into a bilingual "Language User" and a bilingual "Language Learner".

Typesof Bilingualism

EarlyBilingual

Two languages that a bilingual master can also make two languages have different abilities. Simultaneous early bilingualism is bilingualism that occurs when a child learns his second language from birth, usually learned from his parents, his environment and the people closest to him. Almost the same as simultaneous early bilingualism, but sequential early bilingualism occurs when children who are still in infancy have to learn their second language because of the situation, not because it is their mother tongue.

For example, a child who has acquired his mother tongue as a first language, has to move his place of residence or an environment that requires him to learn a second language due to environmental conditions. This results in strong bilingualism, but the child still needs time to learn a second language. This type of bilingualism requires a special effort when it comes to mastering a second language.

Someone who learns his second language earlier can have an effect on the language skills he masters than when he acquires his second language.

Balanced andDominant Bilingual

Borrowing from Grosjean, the frequency with which language is used has an impact on a person's tendency to use language.

At this stage, the researcher distributed a questionnaire to students majoring in English who became Javanese-Indonesian bilinguals. Data condensation in research refers to the stages of selection, focusing, simplification and transformation of data obtained from interviews, documents or data obtained in the field.26 At this stage, the researcher selects and sorts respondents as many as 10 respondents who will be studied. deeper. Researchers lead to how Javanese-Indonesian bilingual speakers in their daily language and also the language habits used in everyday life.

At this stage, the researcher shows research information in the form of pictures, graphs, diagrams, etc.

The researcher shows all data content related to the answer to the question using words, images, graphs, charts, etc. After completing the above stages, the researcher draws conclusions from the three main research questions. Can draw conclusions that data analysis has various functions in analyzing data, including analyzing raw data, testing null hypotheses, obtaining results or even describing research conclusions.

  • ReviewingtheLiterature
  • SpecifyingResearch
  • CollectingData
  • Analyzing and Interpretingthe Data
  • Evaluatingand Reporting

After researching the question in the study, the researchers looked for literature related to the topic to be researched. The literature used includes articles, journals, books and other scientific works still related to the chosen topic. A review of the literature works to see to what extent the selected topic is relevant to the literature and previous research.

At this stage, the researcher presents it in a research formula that will be clarified on the research objectives. At this stage, there is evidence that will answer the questions and hypotheses of the study. After the data collection is completed, the researcher must also complete the stages of interpreting the data provided by the survey respondents.

The data will then be selected and collected which will then be summarized according to the needs of the research. This means that when researchers collect respondent data, they must pay attention to the information provided by each respondent. After going through the above steps, the researcher makes a report and shares it with the respondents.

After that, the people of Metro asked for the opening of Tarbiyah Faculty and Sharia Faculty in Metro City. After the change in status from the private foundation to the state and the opening of IAIN Raden Intan Lampung, the Islamic Guidance Circular Letter No.

Not only that, the two IAIN Metro campuses have also recently operated the Al-Hikmah Library. That's a brief history of the campus known for its "socio-eco-techno-preneurship" slogan. The facilities of IAIN Metro are aimed at supporting the learning process and putting learning comfort first.

Out of the 30 people who made the pre-survey data, the researcher conducted an in-depth survey with 10 students of the Department of English Education. The researcher analyzed the proficiency level of a Javanese-Indonesian bilingual in speaking English. As is known, the researcher analyzes and tries to find 3 answers to the formulation of the problem: (1) Factors that dominate the low level of English proficiency. 2) The type of bilingualism and the impact of English speaking ability on the Javanese-Indonesian language owned by the respondents.

Discussion

  • The result of questions of interview about bilingualism among studentsof
  • The Implication to the Teaching of Speaking for Indonesian Students .46

Continuing from the causes of environmental influences, the habit of practicing English is also the cause that affects the lack of ability to speak English. Because English is a foreign language, the vocabulary is very different from the respondent's native language. From the interviews conducted by the researchers, only 2 respondents said their mother tongue was Indonesian, 8 respondents said their mother tongue was Javanese.

One respondent who is native Indonesian has a bilingual type with language proficiency as balanced bilingual and can master both Indonesian-Javanese languages in a balanced way. Since she masters his mother tongue and bilingual language, she can accept English as the language she learns. Pronunciation that differs greatly from the native language of the respondent hinders the use of English.

This is related to their poor English skills, because the mother tongue is too dominant in their daily use of the language. Continuing from the first point, the practice of speaking a language is a body of language proficiency. Mother tongue or what is called mother tongue is the first language that babies learn and develop with that language, commonly known as native speakers.30 There is a big difference between Indonesian and English, which makes it difficult for language learners to speak English.
