A pretty carpet
We have just moved in the new house. And i have been working hard every morning. I have been trying ti get my new order in my room. This has not been easy, because i own over a thousand books in the floor. At the moment, they cover every inch of floor spaceand actually have to work on them to get in or out of the room, a short while a go, my sister helped me to carry one of my old bookcases on the stairs. She went into my room, and she is got so surprises when she saw all books in the floor. “this is the prettiest karpet that i have never seen,”
Past Perfect Continuous
We thought that we were on the right path when suddenly we ran into a very familiar rock and realised that we had been walking in circles for quite a long time. We were totally lost, and the fact that we had already finished our water provisions wasn't very promising.
We decided to go uphill because according to John, it would be easier to spot a way out from an elevated point. He had learned that from a documentary he had seen about
survival. But what the documentary hadn't taught John was that maybe it’s not such a good idea to go up a mountain when you are exhausted and waterless.
We had trekked one mile when we started to have a horrible feeling that that might be our last trek. Of course, we didn't say anything, but we could see in each other’s eyes that at that precise moment we were thinking precisely the same. We couldn't walk any longer, so we decided to sit and rest, quietly, because neither of us wanted to share any of our gloomy thoughts.
"Hello, can I help you?" we suddenly heard. We raised our heads and saw a little man with slanted eyes and a childish grin. He was standing right next to us. I wondered where he had come from and how long he had been standing there. But it didn't matter really, because we were safe.
