am pleased to report that 2007 was another record-breaking year for the National FFA Foundation. On behalf of myself and the 2007 Foundation Sponsors’ Board, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to you, our corporate sponsors and individual contributors, as well as the entire foundation staff, as we were able to raise more than
$13 million to ensure that the legacy of the “Blue and Gold” continues to prosper! your contributions provide critical funding to sustain the personal and professional development of young men and women, thus allowing them to develop valuable leadership skills necessary in realizing their career goals. It is tremendously gratifying to see sponsors, volunteers, educators, and state and national FFA staff working together to ensure that each member has the opportunity to realize true leadership, personal growth and career success through their involvement in FFA and agricultural education.
This year our theme is, “Blue Jackets, Bright Futures.” To me, it serves as a reminder that, since its inception more than 75 years ago, the revered blue jacket represents the common bond of agriculture we all share, the standard of excellence to which we hold ourselves and the bright future that is attained through membership in FFA. FFA reflects the diversity of our industry and of our youth — and the future remains bright. Today, FFA membership is at a 29-year high, with more than 500,000 members in 7,358 programs across the country.
In 2007, a major initiative was launched to prepare plans to expand agricultural education and FFA to 10,000 quality programs by 2015.
This initiative will provide opportunities for thousands more to experience what FFA and agricultural education have to offer. It will also mean that we will need your continued support and the support of new sponsors and contributors to help make this dream a reality.
I know that by working together we will rise to the occasion.
During these past four years as a Sponsors’ Board member, I have had the opportunity to work with scores of sponsors and visit with hundreds of FFA members, seeing their excitement, passion and hope for the future. I can tell you that every single FFA member I have met is fully aware and deeply appreciative of the incredible support the organization receives from its sponsors.
Thanks again for your generosity, and I hope you will continue your support in the future. you are truly making a positive difference in the lives of these young men and women, and in the future of agriculture.
Sincerely,
Glenn A. Stith

“ Toyota is committed to helping people enrich the quality of life in their communities and has been a proud supporter of FFA for more than two decades. Since the early 1990s, we’ve provided college scholarships to FFA members studying agriculture, and in 2004, launched the San Antonio Toyota/FFA Diversity Initiative. The four-year program aims to increase minority students’
awareness of agricultural careers and FFA.”
“ Ford Trucks celebrates two significant milestones in 2008: 60 years of selling F-Series Trucks and 60 years of partnership with the FFA. We are extremely proud of our long-standing relationship with the FFA and know that it has contributed to F-Series’ record as America’s best-selling truck for 31 years running.
With the support of Ford dealers across the country, we are now the National FFA’s largest corporate sponsor of collegiate scholarships.

We focus on the future of the agriculture industry by promoting excellence in future careers. ccao currently has 16 member organizations, each bringing its own unique ideas and characteristics to the table.
because of our partnerships with monsanto, Kraft, John deere, syngenta, toyota, bayer cropscience, nationwide agribusiness Insurance co. and Intervet, we have been able to launch a new website with career opportunities for members (www.agconsortium.org), conduct several collegiate conferences and seminars and create a collegiate lifeKnowledge career study set. these
efforts wouldn’t have been able to leave the ground without the financialsupport, insight and direction our sponsors have provided.
this year we hope to continue our successes with collegiate lifeKnowledge and hire a full-time consortium staff member to help us with growth and promotion. We also plan to start a leadership development conference for the consortium member organizations’ student leaders where they can meet and share ideas to take back to their organizations. also in the works for 2008 is a plan to connect more student members with business and industry internships and career opportunities.
In the future we will further develop our website with student group pages and enhanced job posting capabilities. We look forward to one day being able to provide student group advisor training. thanks to our partners, we have every belief that our goals will be accomplished.

In July 2007 I realized my dream when I was hired by the City of Duncan Fire Department. 10 x15 Initiative
t he public’s expectations for higher student achievement are leading to dramatic increases in accountability, standards, rigor and relevance throughout education. through the intracurricular programs of agricultural education and ffa, a half million students are developing skills in leadership, communication, team building and civic engagement. they will be prepared to provide for the social, economic and cultural well-being of both small communities and suburban and large urban centers, alike.
under the direction of the national council for agricultural education, the
“10x15 long range Goal for agricultural education” has been developed to grow agricultural education and ffa to 10,000 quality local programs by the year 2015. the focus of the unprecedented effort is twofold: create new programs in communities not yet served by agricultural education and ffa, and ensure the quality and high performance of current programs providing personal, academic and career education in agriculture.
realizing our lofty goals for growth and quality will demand that we grow support for agricultural science education and ffa in the private sector as well.
the work of the national ffa foundation in building existing relationships and
opening new doors is key. Working together, we believe we can achieve this
goal. please join us!
