Anwesend waren F. Vonnegut, Stempfel, Scherer,
Pantzer, Rath und Westing. Präsident
Vonnegut führte den Vorsitz.
Das Protokoll der letzten Sitzung wurde ange-
nommen wie verlesen.
Turnlehrer Heinrich Suder sandte folgendes Schreiben:

Da die auswärtigen Mitglieder sich informell mit
der Auswahl der zur Verleihung von Titeln
honoris causa vorgeschlagenen Turnlehrer
einverstanden erklärten, wurde beschlossen,
die folgenden Namen zur Abstimmung zu
unterbreiten: Für Master of Science in
Gymnastics: Dr. Dudley A. Sargent und
Prof. Dr. Ferd. Ang. Schmidt; für Bachelor
of Science in Gymnastics: A. E. Kindervater,
Wilhelm Renter und Dr. Carl Ziegler.
Auf Grund des Beschlusses vom 30. November
1912 empfahl die Administrativbehörde
folgenden Vortürnern den ve Turnlehrer-
titel zu verleihen, da sie die im erwähnten
Beschluβ genannten Bedingungen erfüllt
haben: Otto H. Boettger, Heinrich Etling, Richard
Genworski, Hans Goetz, Carl Grosse, Fred
Lorenz, Emil A. Trautmann. Beschlossen,
dem erwähnten Beschluβ gemäβ diese Namen
den Mitgliedern zur Abstimmung zu
unterbreiten.
Direktor Rath berichtete, daβ die Seminaristin
Aline Shields am Ende des ersten Semesters
ausgetreten sei; ferner, daβ Louis De Vries
als Lehrer der Deutschen Sprache für die Elemen-
tarklasse angestellt wurde.
Als Lehrer für den Sommerkursus wurden auβer
den früher genannten gewonnen: Dr. Amelia
Keller für Geschlechtshygiene für Frauen, und Dr. Carl L. Sputh für erste Hilfe bei Unglücks- fällen.
Ferner berichtete Rath, daβ die Seminaristen etwa 100 Subskriptionen von auswärts und etwa $100 wert Anzeigen für das herauszu- gebende Jahrbuch erhalten haben. Beschlossen, ein etwaiges Defizit bis zur Höhe von $100 zu decken und je ein Exemplar des Jahr- buchs an jeden Turnverein des Bundes zu senden. Beschlossen ferner, dem Bundes- vorort zu empfehlen, diese Summe zu zahlen.
Auf Dr. Pantzers Antrag wurde beschlossen,

American Physical Education Association nach Newark, N. J., zu senden.
Direktor Rath berichtete, daβ ein Ueberein-
kommen mit Schulsuperintendent J. S.
Collicott und dem Direktor des Turnunterrichts
in den öffentlichen Schulen, Dr. Ocker, getroffen
worden sei, wonach die Seminaristen
des zweiten Jahrgangs bestimmten Schulen
zuerteilt wurden, um dort an einem
Vormittag in der Woche den Turnunterricht
selbständig zu leiten.
Auf Antrag Stempfels wurde beschlossen,
Turner Carl J. Rathmann zu ersuchen,
vor den Seminaristen einen durch Licht-
bilder illustrierten Vortrag über seine
Deutschlandreise zu halten. Turner Scherer
erbot sich, mit Schulsuperintendent Collicott
zu sprechen, ob Turner Rathmann den
Vortrag zugleich vor der Lehrerschaft halten
könne.
Beschlossen, Turner Heinrich Metzger ein Dank-
schreiben für die Schenkung von mehreren
Büchern zu senden.

Indianapolis, Ind.
Greetings!
I am very pleased to inform the Board of Trustees that the three college students Altmann, Harwick and Toeppen who took the gymnastic teachers exam of the local public schools on Saturday, the 15th of this month passed the exams in all subjects with honors. The above named participants had the highest score of all candidates, they passed the exam with flying banners and made their institution proud.
Their handsome attire, manly bearing, the assured way of classroom instruction and the quick answers they gave to the questions asked of them impressed the examination committee
consisting of nine male and female teachers for physical education from the local colleges and from Normal College.
With justified pride, the signed below feels it is his duty to communicate this praise to the Board of Trustees of the Normal College.

Since the out of town members expressed their unofficial agreement with the selection of gymnastic teachers for the award of the titles honoris causa, it was decided to submit the following names for vote: For Master of Science in Gymnastics: Dr. Dudley A. Sargent and
Prof. Dr. Ferd. Ang. Schmidt; for Bachelorof Science in Gymnastics: A. E. Kindervater, Wilhelm Renter and Dr. Carl Ziegler.
In accordance with the decision from November 30, 1912, the Administration Office
recommended the title teacher for physical education be awarded to the following vorturners (gymnastic activists) because they fulfill the requirements as stated in that decision: Otto H.
Boettger, Heinrich Etling, Richard Genworski, Hans Goetz, Carl Grosse, Fred Lorenz and Emil A.
Trautmann. It was decided to submit these names to the members of the board for their vote as prescribed in that statement.
Dear Rath reported that college student Aline Shields left the College at the end of the first semester; in addition, Louis De Vries was hired as German language teacher for the elementary class.
Besides the teachers mentioned before, the following new instructors were hired for the summer course: Dr. Amelia Keller, Hygiene of the Reproductive System for Women and Dr. Carl L. Sputh, First Aid by Accidents.
In addition, Rath reported that the college students have received about 100 external
subscriptions and about $100 worth of ads for the future annual. It was decided to cover any deficit up to $100 and to send each national gymnastic union a copy of the annual. It was also decided to recommend the National Executive Committee to pay this money.
Dr. Pantzer moved to send Dean Rath to the convention of the American Physical Education Association
in Newark, N. J. Motion granted.
Dean Rath reported that an agreement was reached with school superintendent J. S. Collicott and the director for physical training education in the public schools Dr. Ocker to assign the second year students to specific schools where they will lead the physical training classes independently one morning in the week.
Stempfel moved to ask turner Carl J. Rathmann to hold a lecture accompanied by slides about his trip to Germany for the college students. Motion granted. Turner Scherer offered to ask school superintendent J. S. Collicott whether it would be possible for Turner Rathmann to hold the lecture for the faculty at the same time.
It was decided to send a letter of thanks to Turner Heinrich Metzger for his donation of several books.
