Anwesend waren Turner Franklin Vonnegut,
Stecher, Geo Vonnegut, Stempfel, Rath,
Lieber und Westing. Das Protokoll der letzten
Sitzung wurde verlesen und angenommen.
Des Bundesturnfestes halber viel die regel-
mäβige Sitzung im Juni aus.
Von den folgenden Herren lagen Briefe vor, worin
sie den Empfang der ihnen anerkannten Diplome
bei der Schluβfeier im Juni, bestätigten:
Dr. D. A. Sargent, Dr. F. A. Schmidt, Bonn,
Richard Genserowski, Emil A. Trautwein,
Alt. H. Boettger, Jacob Schmid, Hans Goetz,
C. F. Koch und Heinrich Etling.
Es wurde beschlossen, die Briefe von Dr. Schmidt,
und Dr. Sargent in der Turnzeitung zu
veröffentlichen.
Ein Bericht von Dr. Wm H. Welsh aus
Philadelphia, Supervising principal of
Mc.Call School, wurde verlesen. Dieser Herr
stattete dem Seminar einen Besuch ab, und
in einem Bericht an den Board of Recreation
in Phila., drückte er sich sehr lobend über das
Seminar aus. Auszüge aus diesem Bericht
sollen in der Turnzeitung und Mind and Body
veröffentlicht werden.
Es wurde beschlossen, Herrn E. R. Ray zu ersuchen,
mit der Behörde der Bloomington Indiana
Universität in Blolmington in Verhandlung zu treten,
in Bezug auf Anerkennung der Diplome unseres
Seminars in Bloomington.
Turnlehrer Rath berichtete, daβ 57 Turnlehrer und
Turnlehrerinnen am Sommerkursus teilnehmen,
und daβ nur ein kleines Defizit zu bezahlen ist.
Die Frage eines Dormitoriums für die weiblichen
Teilnehmer am Seminar wurde einer längeren
Beratung unterzogen, und ein Komite bestehend
aus Geo Vonnegut, Karl Lieber und Rath, ernannt,
um über die Möglichkeit der Einrichtung eines
solchen zu berichten.
Ein Brief der Firma S. A. Barnes in New York,
worin diese Firma das “Copyright” einer Anzahl
Turnbücher, welche in unserem Turnunterricht benützt
werden, beanschaut, wurde an Rath and Scherer
zur Beantwortung überwiesen.
Eine vorläufiger Bericht des Schatzmeisters wurde
vorgelegt. Derselbe lautet recht günstig, und der
Schatzmeisters Antrag, $2000 00 dem Reservefond
zu überweisen, wurde gutgeheiβen.

Meeting on July 18, 1913.
Present: Turner Franklin Vonnegut, Stecher, Geo Vonnegut, Stempfel, Rath, Lieber and Westing.
Last meeting’s minutes were read and approved.
Owing to the National Gymnastic Festival, the June regular meeting was cancelled.
Letter had been received from the following gentlemen confirming their receiving of the awarded diplomas at the commencement ceremony in June: Dr. D. A. Sargent, Dr. F. A.
Schmidt, Bonn, Richard Genserowski, Emil A. Trautwein, Alt. H. Boettger, Jacob Schmid, Hans Goetz, C. F. Koch and Heinrich Etling.
It was decided to publish the letters from Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Sargent in Turnzeitung (Journal).
A letter from Dr. Wm. H. Welsh, Supervising principal of McCall School in Philadelphia was read.
This gentleman visited the Seminary and praised the school highly in his report to the Board of Recreation in Philadelphia. Excerpts from this report will be published in the Turnzeitung (Journal) and “Mind and Body”.
It was decided to ask Mr. E. R. Ray to begin negotiations with the Administration of
Bloomington Indiana University in Bloomington in regards of their recognizing our school’s diplomas in Bloomington.
Gymnastic teacher Rath reported that 57 male and female gymnastic teachers will participate in the summer course and that there is only a small deficit to cover.
The question about a dorm for the female participants in the summer course was discussed exhaustively. Geo. Vonnegut, Karl Lieber and Rath were appointed on a committee to present about the feasibility of building such an institution.
A letter from the New York firm S. A. Barnes in which they examine the copyright of a number of gymnastic textbooks we use in our gymnastic classes were handed over to Rath and Scherer to reply to.
The treasurer presented his preliminary report. It is quite favorable and the treasurer’s motion to transfer $2,000 to the reserve fund was passed.
