Anwesend waren Stempfel, Scherer, Rath, Stecher,
Dr. Knoch, Lieber, Geo Vonnegut, Krimmd und
Westing.
Seminar direktor Rath berichtete, daβ im
Sommerkursus Mrs O’Hara das Fach Massage
und Corrective Gymnastics, und Dr Reed anstatt
Dr Morris das Fach “Applied Anatomy” übernommen
hat.
Es wurde beschlossen, einen Kadaver für Unterrichts=
zwecke und Vorhänge und neue Matten für die
Seminarräumlichkeiten anzuschaffen.
Auf Anregung Rath’s kam die Angelegenheit
betreffs Ausstellung eines Diploms oder Certifikat
für vierjährige Teilnehmer am Sommerkursus zur
Sprache, und nach längerer Beratung, wurde die
Adm. Behörde beauftragt, die Sache weiter zu
untersuchen, und darüber zu berichten.
Vom Seminarausschuβ des Bundesvororts wurde
berichtet, daβ Geo Wittich als Mitglied des
Verwaltungsrats resignirt habe und daβ die
Resignation vom Bundesvorort angenommen worden
sei.
Schatzmeister Lieber legte seinen Bericht vor
vom 1 Juli 1913 bis 30 Juni 1914. Derselbe
wurde angenommen und der Schatzmeister autorisirt,
$1500.- als Depreciation und $500.- als
uncollectible accounts von dem Guthaben des
Seminars abzuschreiben.
Es wurde beschlossen, den Finanzbericht mit
vollständigen Erklärungen und mit Vergleichen über
die Vorjahre in deutscher und englischer Sprache
drucken zu lassen, und Copien an alle Bundesvereine
und Turnlehrer zu senden.
Auf Antrag Scherer’s wurde der folgende Satz,
Seite 51, unter “Entrance Examination”, gestrichen:

Meeting on July 2nd 1914.
Present: Stempfel, Scherer, Rath, Stecher, Dr. Knoch, Lieber, Geo Vonnegut, Krimmd and
Westing.
Dear Rath reported the following teaching assignments for the summer course: Mrs. O’Hara has taken over the Massage and Corrective Gymnastics class and Dr. Reed will replace Dr. Morris and teach Applied Anatomy.
It was decided to obtain a cadaver for teaching purposes, as well as curtains and new mats for the classrooms.
Rath initiated a discussion of the issue of awarding a diploma or a certificate to teachers who have participated in the summer course for four years. Following a thorough consideration, the Admin. Office was instructed to look into the issue some more and then report about it.
A report was received from the Board of Directors of the National Executive Committee that Geo Wittich has resigned from the post of member of the Board and that the Board has accepted his resignation.
Treasurer Lieber submitted his report for July 1, 1913 through June 30, 1914. The report was approved and the treasurer authorized to write off $1,500.00 as depreciation and $500.00 as uncollectible accounts from the Seminary’s funds.
It was decided to have the report, augmented with complete explanations and comparisons to the previous years, printed in German and English and to send out copies to all national unions and gymnastic teachers.
Scherer moved to have the following sentence deleted – page 51, under “Entrance Examination” quired. Applicants that hold the Certificate of Leader of
