Anwesend: Lieber, Pantzer, Scherer, Rath. Dr. Pantzer führte den Vorsitz.
Direktor Rath berichtete über das Camp. Die
Zelt= und Kücheneinrichtung sind gut; die Schwimm- gelegenheit ist nicht günstig, weil der Fluβ zur
Zeit nicht genügend Wasser enthält und nicht tief genug ist, um Tauchen zu lehren. Der Gesundheitszustand der Klasse ist gut, Frl. Olga Hueneke muβte wegen Tonsilitis und Frl.
Miriam Haas wegen Ausschlags nach Hause gehen.
Ferner berichtete Rath über die Aufnahme- prüfungen: keiner der Applikanten wurde zurückgewiesen. Die Turner Wm. Streit aus St. Louis und Hugo Fischer aus Indianapolis
bewarben sich um das Stipendium für
den zweijährigen , die Turner Otto Schmid aus Leavenworth und Geo. Schultheiss aus Brooklyn um das Stipendium für den Elementarkursus.
Die Gesuche wurden bewilligt. Die Klasse zählt bis jetzt 78, doch werden einige weitere Studenten am Montag eintreffen.
Professor E. R. Ray sandte seine Resignation, weil er nach seiner Ernennung zum Hilfs- schulsuperintendenten keine Zeit mehr hat, den Unterricht im Seminar zu erteilen.
Die Administrativbehörde teilte mit, daβ sie
Prof. W. L. Richardson und Prof. E. Jordan vom Butler College an Rays Stelle gewinnen könne, ersteren für History and Principles of Education, letzteren für Psychologie, daβ beide jedoch $5 pro Stunde fordern. Beschlossen, in
Anbetrachts der weiten Entfernung vom Butler College, diese Zahlung zu bewilligen.
Ferner wurde beschlossen, Myron Tatlock von der Shortridge High School an Stelle des verstorbenen James E. Weyant als Lehrer der Physik anzustellen.
Direktor Rath berichtete noch, daβ er eine Ver-
einbarung mit der Parkbehörde getroffen habe, wonach die Seminaristen während der beiden letzten Wochen des Schuljahres die Spiel- plätze in Parks an Nachmittagen leiten
werden.
Frl. Ruth Rice wurde gestattet, für ihr Schul- geld in diesem Jahre Schuldscheine auszustellen.
Folgende Rechnungen wurden zur Zahlung angewiesen:

Dean Rath reported about the camp. The tent and kitchen facilities are good; however, the swimming situation is lacking because the river does not have enough water and is not deep enough for diving lessons. The class is in good health. Two students had to go home: Ms. Olga Hueneke due to tonsillitis and Ms. Miriam Haas due to a rash.
In addition, Rath informed about the entry exams – none of the applicants failed.
Turners Wm. Streit from St. Louis and Hugo Fischer from Indianapolis applied for a scholarship for the two- year course and Turners Otto Schmid from Leavenworth and Geo. Schultheiss from Brooklyn applied for a scholarship for the elementary course. The requests were granted.
At this point, the class count is seventy-eight, however more students will arrive on Monday.
Professor E. R. Ray sent his resignation – because of his appointment for assistant school superintendent, he will no longer have time to teach in the Seminary.
The Administrative Office told us they could get Prof. W. L. Richardson and Prof. E. Jordan from Butler College to replace Ray – the former to teach History and Principles of Education and the latter for Psychology. However, the faculty ask for $5 per hour. Considering the long
distance to Butler College, it was decided to approve this pay.
In addition, it was decided to hire Myron Tatlock from Shortridge High School to fill the Physics teacher position of the deceased James E. Weyant.
In addition, Dean Rath reported that he has reached an agreement with the park management authorities, which allows the Seminary students to lead the playgrounds in the parks in the afternoons during the last two weeks of the school year.
Ms. Ruth Rice was granted permission to issue promissory notes for her tuition this year.
