Suzanna Ratih Sari, Muhammad Fariz Hilmy, Eko Punto Hendro, Dhanoe Iswanto:

We have reached a decision regarding your submission to Aestimum, "Developing Sustainable Tourism of Goat Village:

The Case of Bustaman Village, Semarang, Indonesia".

Our decision is to: Resubmit for Review

The reviewers have raised a number of points which we believe would improve the manuscript and may allow a revised version to be published in Aestimum. Please consider that your article is borderline since Reviewer B suggests to submit your article elsewhere. Their reports, together with any other comments, are below.

If you are able to fully address these points, we would encourage you to submit a revised manuscript including a point- by-point response letter. Please ensure you describe additional experiments that were carried out and include a detailed rebuttal of any criticisms or requested revisions that you disagreed with. Please also ensure that your revised manuscript conforms to the journal style, which can be found in the journal website.

The due date for submitting the revised version of your article is 28 June 2020. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need extra time.

We look forward to receiving your revised manuscript soon.

Best wishes, Fabio Boncinelli University of Florence [email protected]

--- Reviewer A:

Dear colleagues,

this is an interesting field research, providing important insights on how a traditional village with a reputation on goat meat can follow a strategy to increase its appeal as a sustainable tourism destination.

Despite the descriptive analysis provided, the paper in its current version lacks some important aspects that are relevant for the quality standards of this journal.

(7)

17/09/21 11.30 Yahoo Mail - [Aestimum] Editor Decision

be improved.

The rest of the paper should be re-written according to the above mentioned section. For instance, quotes could be included, references to the different kind of data collected should me mentioned, and more generally, a clear summary of these information could be provided in a table.

Finally, I've found several typos mistakes and it does not seem to me that the paper flows very well. I would suggest a professional proof reading to increase the readability of this work.

---

--- Reviewer B:

Based on the informative manuscript, I understand the unique attributes of Bustaman village regarding tourism and cultural heritage. However, it seems to be an essay or report, not an academic article adequate to Aestimum. I recommend it would be much more appropriate if the authors resubmit this manuscript to other journals that focus on the theme such as community planning, urban planning of developing countries, qualitative research of tourism, or Asian development (Of course, the contents should be revised a bit). The topic and a way of the suggestion definitely could help other places experiencing similar problems. My review of this manuscript is as below.

First of all, even though the authors explain the reason why this village should be developed as an attractive tourism destination through the introduction part, I could not understand “why Bustaman village, not for other villages in Semarang city or elsewhere in Indonesia. Organizing tourism destinations requires lots of budgets, governmental and private resources, changes in residents’ lifestyle, etc. The authors should provide the logical explanation or analysis results about “why Bustaman, and how the plan make happen.”

In a methodology part, the way of interview and observations should be presented in detail. As the authors argue this research had been conducted by the qualitative methods, the detailed information about the interviews and

observations is quite important.

Lastly, the rearrangement of the zoning pattern the authors proposed seems much more effective and plausible (see Figure 9), but the feasibility is doubtful. Also, I am not sure that it could promote the goat tourism of Bustaman village.

The authors’ suggestion would help the street neat, hygienic, and well-organized, but it is arguably limited to improve tourists’ visit. That is because it is not related to eco-tourism, religious tourism, or even animal-friendly tourism, which attracts tourists nowadays. The concept the authors proposed seems to be only about the zoning regarding community planning. Of course, the authors mention environmentally friendly village and sustainability, however the terms seem to be over-interpreted. Merely using biogas is not considered as an environmentally friendly village (It is not even tightly connected to the blueprint of goat tourism.) and the logical flow the authors refer to sustainability is not convincing. And how much demand would exist for this type of goat tourism in Indonesia or near the Bustaman village? In my

understanding, it is doubtful how many people want to just see the high-density breeding, butchering, and processing in their bare eyes. To achieve the goal of this research, the authors rather suggest the rearranged zoning pattern and value-added activities including environmentally friendly breeding, cultural activities related to goat tourism, well- processed goat meat, goat-themed goods closely. Despite the questions I raised, if the demand for goat tourism the authors assume is huge in Indonesia, the author should add the information or demand analysis results.

Dear Author,

Congratulations on having your paper “Sustainability of Traditional Markets Post-Revitalization” accepted for publication in Aestimum. The article will be published in the Volume 78 (June 2021). However, it will be immediately available online on the "Just Accepted" page with its DOI.

Before posting the article in the "Just Accepted" page, I am writing to you in regards to a technical editing. In particular:

- the abstract should be reduced according the Journal Guidelines (max 1000 characters, spaces included).

- the references in the references list at the end of the manuscript should be revised according to the journal guidelines.

- please provide the title and the keywords also in Italian language, responding to this message. While the keywords in Italian will appear in the article, the Italian version of the title will be appear only in the index of the paper volume of Aestimum (and not in Scopus or other online resources). If you find some difficulties in

translation, we will translate these.

You can upload a corrected version of the last file you have uploaded on Aestimum, with corrections in track.

Regarding your article published in Aestimum 76 (2020) "Maintain Sustainability of Historic Village as Tourism Village. If you also demand to Scopus to add the article, I think they will do it faster.

Dear Andrea,

I have submitted the final manuscript to the Aestimum website. Please check it out and confirm that you have received my manuscript.

I also confirm regarding my previous article entitled "Maintain Sustainability of Historic Village as Tourism Village. The Case of Bustaman Village in Semarang, Indonesia" that I demand my paper to be included in the Scopus database. I think that it is automatic while we publish the paper in the scopus-indexed journal, the paper will be inserted into the Scopus database.

If you find some difficulties in translation, we will translate these.

You can upload a corrected version of the last file you have uploaded on Aestimum, with corrections in track.

Regarding your article published in Aestimum 76 (2020) "Maintain Sustainability of Historic Village as Tourism Village. The Case of Bustaman Village in Semarang, Indonesia", Scopus has not inserted it in its database, while other articles of the same volume are present. I have already solicited Scopus for it. If you also demand to Scopus to add the article, I think they will do it faster.

Dear Suzanna,

your article "Maintain Sustainability of Historic Village as Tourism Village. The Case of Bustaman Village in Semarang, Indonesia" (volume 76) must be included in the Scopus database. Of Volume 76, Scopus has included only 2 articles out of a total of 5. I have informed Scopus Support with a mail on 23 March, attaching the pdf of the missing articles, and they have guaranteed me "this correction may take up to four weeks to be completed".

I ask you sorry for this delay. Today I will write again to Scopus Support to solve this problem. Next week, I will have a meet with the publisher where I inform him about this Scopus delay in uploading the articles, asking to urge Scopus to avoid this problem.

In the meantime, my suggestion for you is to contact the Scopus support asking them to insert your article in the database.

Do not hesitate to contact me for any further problems.

Dear Suzanna,

I apologize for this delay in answering your two mails. I’m here to give you assistance and to answering your questions.

Regarding your article “Maintain Sustainability of Historic Village as Tourism Village”, this is the only paper now missing in the platform Scopus. I don’t know why, despite my several requests to Scopus for all the three missing articles of the Volume 76 (including yours), two were included as you can see in Scopus. I have so contacted the support for

understanding why your article is still missing, although it has already been some months since I made the first enquiry.

They have replied to me that this correction need further time. The Editor and the Publisher are informed about this intolerable way of acting of Scopus, and collaborate with me to solve this problem. I ask you and to your co-authors sorry for this circumstances. My suggestion for you is to persist with us in contacting Scopus support to include the article in the platform.

Regarding the New volume of Aestimum, 78 (2021), we had some delay due to a paper included in the volume. In last days, I’ve solve this problem and all articles have been sent to the publishers for preparing the last proof copy. I also apologize on behalf of the Editor for this further delay.

Dear Andrea, is there any update about my papers? I have checked the Scopus website and there is still none of my paper. I have also checked the Aestimum website and there is not either.
