CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
A. CONCLUSION
In this chapter described the results based on the data findings. The results of this research were the used of An Analysis of Derivational Suffixes in Justin Bieber’s Changes Album. Result of the data, there are 3 types of derivational suffix found in 16 songs of Justin Bieber’s album namely, nominal suffix, adjective suffix, adverb suffix. Total of suffix found are 36 suffix there are : nominal suffix there are -er, -tion, -al, -ment, -ence, -ness, -ity, -ion, -ist, -ette, - age, adjective suffix there are -ful, -ly, -y, -ual, -able and adverb suffix –y, -al, -ly.
There some process of derivation which change class changing and class maintaining. The researcher found 31 class changing there are :12 suffix forming noun from verb , 6 suffix forming noun from adjective, 9 suffix forming adverb from adjective, 1 suffix forming adverb from noun, 1 suffix forming adjective from verb, 2 suffix forming adjective from noun, 5 class maintaining there are : 3 suffix forming noun from noun and 2 suffix forming adjective from adjective. Based on the result, Derivational Suffix is part of word not only knowing the base word from the suffix but also knowing the meaning of the word derivational, not only the derivational word found have same meaning, sometimes it have different meaning, it is important knowing and learning the function and the types of derivational suffix because it will help the reader to clearly understand the differences each type of derivational suffix.
B. SUGGESTION
At the conclusion of this research, the researcher would like to give suggestions which hopefully be valuable to other researcher, English learners and readers:
1. For English Learners : The result of this research can give contribution advantages for English learners especially in linguistics subject to mastery about the derivational suffix,types and function of class changing and class maintaining.
2.For Next Researcher : The next researchers who interested to continue this research can compares the process of derivational suffixes from other album or a novel, magazine, newspaper and book. The researcher admit that this research can be more clearly and have more explanation in describing the data from the research not only in the derivational suffix forming nouns but also the other types of derivational. The researcher hopes that the next researcher can be deeply in complete the data so that the research can be more clearly.
3.For Reader : The researcher suggests that to increase the reader’s vocabulary, it can help to reader’s knowledge about suffixes process in a word. Especially in finding the types of suffixes the reader more know about how the word it form.
