INTRODUCTION
The article remains the main citation because of the last element in the definition of biblical theology in the following section. This means that at some point he should connect the text with the story of the Bible that points to Jesus Christ.

FROM ABANDONING YOUR INITIAL LOVE
Jesus calls the church "to do the works which you have done before". The Ephesian church previously did works that came out of their love. In other words, the light of the gospel shines through the church's love-empowered unity. The tree is in the paradise of God - the true paradise - unlike Ephesus back then or Las Vegas today.
The final reason we need to repent is because of the person calling the church to repent.
LIFE FEARLESSLY AND FAITHFULLY
Jesus accompanies his people and expresses his presence in his intimate knowledge of the church's situation. Jesus communicates his knowledge of their tribulation by saying that the church in Smyrna will be imprisoned (2:10). Jesus promises to prevent the overcomer from experiencing even the smallest pain of the second death.
Jesus calls himself "the first and the last, the one who was dead and has come to life" (2:8).
COMPROMISE AND REPENT
In light of the coming judgment, churches must realize that they are not playing games as they pursue church health. In the same way, you also have those who adhere to the teachings of the Nicolaitans" (2:14-15). The sin in the first place is not idolatry or immorality, but "holding the teachings of Balaam" or "the Nicolaitans."
So, when Jesus rebukes the church for some who cling to the teachings of Balaam, what is he referring to? Some church members functionally believed in this false teaching, making them vulnerable to committing idolatrous and immoral activities. While certainty is difficult to identify the teaching of the Nicolaitanes, whatever it is, it appears to subtly undermine true Christian discipleship.
The doctrine of the Nicolaitans mentioned in 2:15 and 2:6 is almost impossible to specify with certainty. Thomas generalizes: "The teachings of this group were an attempt to reach a compromise between the Christian life and the cultural customs of the Greco-Roman Society," Thomas, Revelation 1-7, 194. Jesus calls the whole church to conversion, even though only some of the members hold to the teaching of Balaam or the Nicolaitans because the church is corporately responsible for each member's discipleship.
However, if God is the church's Father, then the members of the church are now brothers and sisters. Jesus concludes his message with an imperative: "He who has ears must listen to what the Spirit says to the congregations."18 He follows with a promise of the reward and says: "To him who overcomes, I will give him the hidden manna and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name is written which no one knows except he who receives it” (2:17).
OF SINFUL TOLERANCE AND RETAIN WHAT
The title may secondarily contrast in the church's context with the claims of "emperor Caesar, son of the god Julius."2. The main point of the letter to the church in Thyatira is that they should exclude unrepentant Jezebel." James M. Before Jesus calls the church to repentance, identify clear markers of grace and faithfulness in the church (2:19).
Perhaps she advocated the custom of worshiping Jesus with the church and at the same time participating in the immorality and idolatry of the trade guild for. The active deception in the church was an expression of the second beast that deceived the world to receive the mark of the beast (Rev. What is the ultimate reason why Jesus provided for the church to repent of this tolerance and to change course.
The church should repent for sinfully allowing Jezebel, because Jesus will judge each member of the church according to his or her response (cf. Rev 20:13). He is addressing a part of the church that has not succumbed to deception or sinful tolerance. Jesus turns and speaks to part of the church: "I say to the rest in Thyatira" (2:24).
The subset of the church he is addressing is the group that does not adhere to Jezebel's "doctrine," the "so-called secrets of Satan." They recognized and rejected her teaching. Even in the church, members must not doubt God's goodness, because most of their members keep the church in sinful tolerance.
UP AND STAY UP
The first line not only reminds the reader that the glorified Jesus has the angels of the churches - the stars - but also reminds him of chapter 1 where they were told that he walks among the golden candlesticks - the churches. The seven spirits of God are the Holy Spirit (Revelation 1:4-5).5 The Holy Spirit throughout the Bible is the one who gives life. Some” of the Spirit was taken from Moses and given to the seventy elders of Israel (Numbers 11:24-29).
Ian Paul, Revelation, TNTC (Downers Grove, IL: IVP Academic) says that one might think it refers to angels because it seems strange to speak of Jesus "having" the seven spirits of God, although he disagrees with this view .For consideration and application of the doctrine of the Holy Spirit as seven spirits before the throne of God, see J. This threat is contained in apodosis 3:3b: "If you do not pay attention, I will come as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you." The answer to staying asleep is a surprise visit from Judge Jesus.
Although the Lord Jesus calls the church of Sardis in 3:1-3 to wake up and repent, not every member of the church has failed in this way. Why will Jesus credit the immaculate members of the church in Sardis for walking with him in white? Jesus says of the overcomer, "I will never blot his name out of the book of life, but I will acknowledge his name before my Father and before his angels" (3:5).
There was also a synagogue register for the Jews.21 Jesus promises that the names of the overcomers will be written in the book of life. Later, the "names" are the names of the few who are immaculate among the members of the church in Sardis (3:4).
TO CHRIST JESUS
The pressure of the world led by the beast, combined with the pressure of the church deceived by the second beast, pushes Christians to let go of what they have (Rev. Moreover, even if the church strays, be it a minority or majority of the members or even their pastors, the Christian who overcomes must hold fast to Jesus. This is the "charter" of the local church and therefore it is their unique ministry in the world until Christ returns.10 Churches and Christians must clinging to Christ in a challenging world and compromised "Christian".
These self-proclaimed Jews claimed to be the true people of the Hebrew Scriptures, not the Philadelphia church. The adversaries think they are on God's side and serving him, when in reality God and his messiah love his church in Philadelphia.14 The adversaries' rejection of the church is a goddamn mistake. 14 One of the most devout Jews to oppose the churches, Saul of Tarsus, came to realize that he was opposing Jesus by opposing God's people before the final judgment. (Acts 9:5-6; Phil. 3 :4-6).
To the point that Revelation was written, the church in Philadelphia has kept Christ's commandment to endure. Some teach that Jesus saves them from the hour of trial by taking them out of the world, while others teach that Jesus will keep the church through the trial while they remain on earth. More specifically, those of the former view suggest that Jesus saves them from the hour of trial by taking them out of the world through a rapture that precedes a seven-year period.
Christian, Jesus will keep you from the test of judgment that comes with deception, so hold on to Jesus. In contrast, Jesus promises that their identity will be with the name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem and the name of Jesus himself.
