Moral Values Analysis InThe Cuckoo’s CallingNovel Written By Roberth Galbraith

This research is conducted to find the moral value that reflected in The Cuckoo’s Calling novel by Roberth Galbraith by seeing their characters. The data obtained through exploring the paragraph, narrative, and dialogue about moral value through characters (major and minor) inside the novel.
To analyze moral value, the writer organized the theoretical framework in chapter two by discussing about approach and theory. Structuralism approach is used by the writer and the theory applied by the writer in this research is Greimas actantial model and the kind of moral value (bravery, Humbleness, Honest, Steadfastness, sympathetic to others, cooperativeness, Thankfulness, Kind-hearted, trustworthiness, Sincerity, Love and Affection). The writer uses qualitative method in finding and gathering the data needed.
The result of this analysis showed how to find the kind of moral value by using Actantial Model by A.J Greimas. The writer found 3 data which is in data 1 the writer found the kind of moral value especially for trustworthiness. In data 2 the writer found the kind of moral value especially for bravery. While in data 3 the writer found the kind of moral value especially for cooperativeness. It means that from whole analysis the writer shows the function of Actantial Model from A.J to find the moral value especially for the kind of moral value.
