Abstract

Religion is an expression meaning “belief in God”, belief in supernatural powers over humans. Aspects of belief, worship, experience and consequences, knowledge, and appreciation are all interrelated in expressing these values.

The problem raised in this study is the formation of a moral message. This is to see how the communicated moral message of Delisa's prayer memorization directed by Sony Gaokasak in 2011 became the focus of research on the cinematic sequence, which is given at each step of the film. This study uses the Social Construction Theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckman. In this research, the approach used is the observation technique, as well as related literature study. This is also studied using the framing model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, which identifies: syntactic, scriptural, thematic, and rhetorical. This method is to identify alias identify which each act contains a moral message, then each action is defined using four framing elements to determine how the moral message should be framed in the film. The results showed that morality can be taught through events depicted in the film, that problems should not damage one's morale, and how to live life amid religious and social difficulties.

INTRODUCTION

Scope

In literary works, people's lives are reflected. Many literary works based on real events have been created by the author (Frasca, 2013). Literature is "a form and result of creative art activities whose object is human and the medium is language". It can be concluded that literary works have an impact and have an impact on people's daily lives (Bratman et al, 2012). It will be considered good if a literary work contains values that can be used in everyday life (Tyson, 2014).

MursalEsten said, "Literature is an aesthetic and imaginative interpretation of facts as a manifestation of human life".

Because it has values that are closely related to the research problem, the researchers chose "Memorizing Delisa Prayers" as the research subject (Sondakh et al, 2022). Delisa is best known for being based on the novel TereLilyed with the same title, published in 2011 and inspired by the Aceh tragedy in 2004. TereLiye's work received high praise and is one of the most popular (Rankawat, 2018). The film "Memorizing Prayers Delisa"

is a work with high religiosity that needs to be reproduced, and gives direction to viewers on how to act. The most interesting thing about the film "Memorizing Prayers lat Delisa" is the attitude and behavior of Delisa's character who plays a role in this behavior.

Tere Liye chose the film Memorizing Sha lat Delisabecause the main character piqued his curiosity. The Falling Leaves Never

Hate the Wind, The Moon Drowns in Your Face, May God Be a Loving Mother, and the Angels of Heaven are among TereLiye's other works, all of which relate to humanity and religion. Delisa is a small child who is taught to do good because of her religion, Islam, according to Tere Liye (Noortyani, 2018).

There are cultural values in every scene in TereLiye's work, which are presented in a straightforward and easy-to-understand manner so that the author can easily assess the value of religiosity put forward, both physically and mentally. indirect (treatment) or overt (explanation). The characters of Delisa and her Lord are depicted in Delisa's film Memorizing Prayers, which focuses on their relationship and how they serve their faith (Hanim et al, 2021).

The film is transformed into an aesthetic work and an instrument of information that can be used for entertainment, propaganda, and political reasons (Frasca, 2013). It can be used for entertainment as well as education.

On the other hand, it can help in the dissemination of new cultural concepts. The film was once considered a mass medium that could satisfy people's expectations and tastes for entertainment when they were bored with their daily routines (Altheide, 2018). The film has evolved into a form of "escape" for those who are tired of working, especially in urban areas. In the decades that followed, the film began to shift its mission, becoming a tool of knowledge, education, and transformation in

addition to meeting the needs of the general public

Films with the potential to represent reality can have an emotional impact and gain popularity. Films have a profound effect on the viewer's mind, and there are symptoms of psychological identification associated with social psychology (Tan, 2013). Because of its power and ability to reach various social strata, films can influence audiences. The film is a document of people's social life that describes the reality of communal study aimed at the organization. The reality of the imagination as well as the reality of the real world is both real. The film has developed a reputation as a progressive cultural phenomenon due to its rapid and unpredictable development (Black, 2013).

Memorizing ShalatDelisais a 2011 Indonesian drama film with a broadcast time of 102 minutes. The film, which was directed by Sony Gaokasak, was produced by PT Kharisma Starvision Plusss( Fikri, 2019).TereLiye's popular novel of the same title served as the inspiration for the film.

Delisa, a 6-year-old child who lives with her mother, Ummi, and her three younger siblings, Cut Fatimah (15), Cut Aisyah, and Cut Zahra who are twins, is the main character in this film (12 years). Their father, Abi Usman, worked on a tanker and visited them every three months. He was determined to memorize the prayer readings because if he did, he would receive a gold necklace from Ummi in

addition to passing the school exam (Fuadi, 2013).

On December 26, 2004, Delisa took a prayer memorization test in front of the class.

Ummi waits outside the classroom. At the end of the memorized prayer sentence, a tsunami struck. The edge of the water collided with the school wall. Guru Nur became angry and shouted aggressively (Dobson, 2014). Delisa was killed and her body was thrown to the ground. Delisa sighed. Delisa was found six days later in a white-flowered bush four kilometers from her school by US Private Smith. Delisa was in a coma, with wounds all over her body, her legs were torn from rot, hunger, fever, and cold (Nakazawa, 2015). By helicopter, he was quickly transferred to the aircraft carrier John F Kennedy.

He was completely oblivious to the fact that his mother had disappeared. Two of his twins were found dead, one in the other's arms.

His brother was buried three days after the disaster. The ground floor of the house was completely flat. On a flat field, he used to play baseball (Club, 2019). The school foundation serves as the base for the flagpole. His father was hundreds of kilometers away, in the middle of the Canadian ocean. He's alone. The Tsunami disaster wiped out Delisa's memory.

Delisa woke up after the disaster and went back to memorizing the prayer readings (Muliadi et al, 2018).

Many movie fans, both positive and negative, are similar to the characters in the movies. Since the events in the film had such a

strong impact, it was only natural that da'wah procedures were used to spice things up (Greene, 2015). Furthermore, considering the current condition of society, which is influenced by globalization and the hustle and bustle of the world, which is far from morals, many children, teenagers, adults, and even parents are carried away by the swift currents of the times time (Wiarda & Kryzanek, 2019).

To overcome all this, civilization must be rebuilt so that future generations do not fall into the cycle of evil. Incorporating moral lessons into the picture is one option.

The religious film is a type of drama film whose main focus is on religious ideas and includes moral standards (Lyden, 2019)."

Delisa Prayer Memories" is one of the rare films with a moral message in Indonesian cinema. The 100-minute film, which was nominated for the AMI AWARDS 2011 for the best child group artist category, was watched by 668,731 people in the year it was released on December 22, 2011, to commemorate and reflect on the Tsunami disaster that occurred on December 26, 2004 (Hughes, 2017).

One of the films that have useful properties, such as akhlakulKarima, is Delisa's Memories of Prayer. This film not only reveals the tragic side of life but also instills Islamic ideals through family tenderness (Ewing, 2020). Delisa's memorizing prayer begins with the joy of the unity of a family. for example, which was quickly torn apart by the effects of the Aceh Tsunami (Szczuciński, 2012). The

main character, Delisa (ChantiqSchagrel), is a little girl who lives in Lhok Nga Aceh, a city on the coast of Aceh (30 kilometers from Aceh city). His three younger siblings are Fatimah (Ghina Salsabila), Aisyah (Reska Tania Apriadi), and Zahra (Reska Tania Apriadi) (Riska Tania Apriadi). The Aceh Tsunami disaster, left a huge scar on the Acehnese people, with many relatives killed or missing due to the terrible tsunami waves, including Delisa, a happy little girl with a passion for football.

The moral lessons in Delisa's video Memorizing Prayers revolve around the concepts of difficulty, sincerity, patience, sincerity, obedience, and mutual support (Angelo, 2018). In Delisa Prayer Memories, the joy and fidelity that are framed in the construction of story images, dialogues, themes, and phrases add to the idea that you want to emphasize (Kelley, 2012). Each episode, according to the researcher, offers a lot of moral teachings that can be given to the audience indirectly through the film Memorizing Prayers Delisa (Travis, 2013).

The phrase "Delisa loves Ummi because of Allah" at 14:24 minutes at Delisa's house has a moral meaning that the sincerity of a small child who teaches love to parents, even at the age of only 6 years, Delisa can express. Heart- touching words. Delisa's persistence in remembering the initial order of prayer readings is another example (opening order) (Yeates, 2012). In Delisa's video Memorizing

Prayers, the researcher is interested in current events and chooses a moral lesson.

The researchers in this study used Framing Analysis as an alternative to qualitative analysis, which is the most commonly used method (Angelo 2018). If the analysis is focused on the “what” query, the frame analysis is focused on the “how” (how) the communication message is sent. Delisa's Religious Values in Delisa's Memorizing Prayer Film is a label given by researchers to the film to find out how the moral message in Delisa's Memories of Prayers is conveyed (Framing Analysis in Delisa's Memories of Prayers ). The moral principles that children have become the topic of this research. The young woman in question is Delisa (the main character in the film) (Alderson & Morrow, 2020). The morals explored in the film Memorizing Prayers Delisa are children 's morals, such as precepts, noble character, and customary practices that exist in children.

RESEARCH METHODS Types of research

Quantitative data is collected based on numbers, while qualitative data is obtained based on observations of the things being studied (Aspers & Corte, 2019).

Object of research

This study focuses on the film Memorizing Sha latDelisa, which requires watching each length and looking at the sequence (chapter) with the awareness that the

sequence (chapter) has a moral lesson in the film. Because it is easier to observe and collect data, the researcher will concentrate on the initial sequence of the film, the middle sequence (chapter/middle content), and the closing sequence.

Collection Technique 1. Observation

Essential data was obtained by observing each sequence in the film Memories of Prayer Delisa with the consideration that the sequence contains a moral lesson, and the total sequence contains 54 scenes in the film

2. Literature review

Search for data relevant to the theoretical basis by conducting a literature review of books, articles, the internet, film documentation of Memories of Sha latDelisa, or works that are related to the research carried out are referred to as library studies.

Data analysis

The data analysis strategy of this research is a qualitative descriptive method, which serves as a model of the problem- solving mechanism under study (Ohlsson, 2012). To describe the moral message conveyed in the film Memorizing Prayers Delisa, the qualitative descriptive method is a method that describes or characterizes phenomena obtained from observations (Cash, 2018).

The data were analyzed using a framing scheme created by Zhongdang Pan and Gerald

M. Kosicki based on the items to be studied in terms of:

- Syntax refers to how movie shooting is organized. The concept of arrangement in the film is referred to as syntax in film discourse.

- The dialogues in the storyline that make up a film are referred to as scripts.

- Rhetoric is a description of the director's use of style or language to emphasize the meaning he wants to highlight.

- Thematic is the theme in a film.

RESEARCH RESULT

The concept of religiosity is defined in the Big Indonesian Dictionary with several phrases, including Religion is defined as

"belief in God" or "belief" (Tan, 2012).

Animism or dynamism is a belief system.

Religion is used to regulate the relationship of a person or group with God, other people, and nature, the word religion comes from a foreign language, namely territory, which refers to religion or belief in the existence of natural forces over humans. Religion is a map, a collection of ideas, cultural institutions, and a worldview that connects humans to nature. the religious system regulates the interaction between humans and God and the supernatural, as well as between humans and humans, in an environment full of auras that adherents consider a kinship (Stolow, 2013).

Obedient attitudes and behaviors include being obedient to the teachings of their religion, being tolerant of the worship of

adherents of other religions, and always striving for harmony between adherents of different religions n s. Faith is defined as having obedient attitudes and actions in worship according to their religion, tolerance for followers of other religions, and the ability to live in peace (Marhayani, 2016). Religious character is very important in one's existence and becomes a way of life that is governed by religious standards and prohibitions on attitudes (Malinowski, 2014).

The religious system is a formal agreement between man and God, who functions as the guardian and custodian (Rabb) of each individual (Moustafa, 2017). The religious system seeks to expand and strengthen faith by offering and growing information, understanding, appreciation, and experience of students about the religion of Islam so that they develop as Muslim human beings who develop in terms of faith. , piety, and loyalty to the state and the state (Walsh, 2015).

Religiosity includes various features or dimensions that occur not only when a person performs rituals (worship), but also when they perform other activities that involve supernatural powers (Johnstone, 2015).

Religion comes from the English terms religion and relegare, both of which mean "to bind". The basic definition of the word relegate is to be careful and follow the rules or regulations. Religious people, not only those who practice religion, are determined by their religiosity. Religiosity includes religious

(7)

486

knowledge, religious experience, religious actions, and socio-religious attitudes (Huber&Huber, 2012).

Religious values embedded in the human soul have played a role in character building (Huda, 2017). As a result, religion instills in them valuable ideas that they can apply in their daily lives. In Islam, the most important type of religiosity is the ability to feel an inner connection with God. In general, Islam consists of three elements: belief (aqidah), standards or laws (shari'ah), and behavior (akhlak). Consequently, Islamic religiosity is defined as the degree of internalization of a person's religion as measured by their appreciation of their creed, shari'ah, and morals (Abou, 2014).

After seeing the researcher's analysis of the core principles of Delisa's children in the film Memorizing Delisa Prayer (Sitio et al, 2019). It turns out that this video has educational value, and there are many aspects of the film's message that can be used in everyday life. Delisa, a toddler who became a victim of the tsunami, is shown in the film as a young woman who is determined to get what she wants. The support of umami, abi, her siblings, and everyone around her is very important for the persistence of Delisa's character. Even though she is alone with her aunt, Delisa is still enthusiastic about her daily life (Hinton et al, 2012).

Abi is a father figure to Delisa, who cares for and educates her so that she can move on from everything that happened to her

(Tate, 2020). Delisa is still getting help from her aunt and Ustadz Rahman. Delisa's teacher, Ustadz Rahman, is a huge fan. Ustadz Rahman hunted Delisa among the rubble and in several hospitals that housed tsunami victims until one day the tsunami hit Aceh. Finally, Ustadz Rahman met with Delisa, but her condition was getting worse; Delisa had to amputate one of her legs after being hit by debris during the tsunami (Jauhola, 2020).

According to Paschiller and Tamera Bryant, Delisa's Memorization of Prayers film contains 11 (eleven) basic moral values for children, including First, Caring and Empathy, Delisa comforts Tour by sharing her happiness so that Tour feels like he has a father like himself, according to theories and concepts.

Roland Barthes on 16 basic moral values (Larson, 2021). Second, Delisa's friend misplaced her sandal on her way home from recitation, so Delisa and her friends worked together to restore it. Third, who ventured to disagree with Ustad Rahman's message.

Fourth, Perseverance and Commitment, Delisa chooses the first task she must do and continues to do it until it is finished. Fifth, Delisa likes to help her friends who are having trouble solving problems. Sixth, Delisa encourages Umam to be trustworthy and honest. Seventh, he was confident and independent, so instead of waiting for his aunt to teach him, he decided to teach himself how to ride a bicycle with Tour. Eighth, loyalty:

Delisa kept her promise to Ummi to polish her memory of the prayer reading. Delisa was

(8)

487

happy with herself because she was able to carry out her duties efficiently and on time on the ninth day (Chan, 2016). Delisa still prays before going to bed, even though she speaks Indonesian. Delisa has expressed her respect for her instructor by shaking hands and kissing her hands on the eleventh floor. The results of the eleven studies were then combined into a scientific paper.

This study can help parents choose good movies to watch with their children to instill healthy ideals in them. Given the number of films and soap operas that are less educative and not according to moral guidelines.

Mass media has a big impact on society because it is an inseparable component of it.

The film is used as a medium that reflects or even shapes reality as a means of mass communication (Thompson, 2013). Films can tell stories, both fiction and non-fiction.

Because theof thereof, the hehe film is an audio-visual medium, it allows the consumption of more in-depth information.

Films with audiovisual power can raise societal issues, and can also be used to communicate moral lessons (Díaz, 2012).

Dimensions of Confidence

In general, human life is built on trust.

Belief is the result of a thorough examination of what is then chosen as a guide for human life. Reason or the power of God is the source of belief or belief itself. Intelligence that considers the standard set is a gift from God, and then practiced by good people.

Dimensions of Worship or Religious Practice

This dimension can be considered as to how a person worships according to his own beliefs. People who are aware of religion feel obliged to serve their God. It is done through acts of worship that are regulated religiously.

As a result, individuals who live to love God are those who hold fast to God's revelations in daily life.

Dimensions of Appreciation

Faith is expressed in an attitude of prayer and worship that is based on gratitude for human life. Appreciation is a source of motivation, encouragement, and the basis of one's attitude toward God Z The appreciation dimension is a dimension that expresses the extent to which a person has perceived and experienced the feelings and experiences of the religious dimension. Tere Liye and Sony Gaukasak in the film Memorizing Delisa Prayers combine the religious component of Delisa's persona with Delisa's daily series of living her life according to Muslim life. For Delisa or her way of life, religion is very vital and fundamental.

The film Memorizing Sha latDelisa makes it clear that its focus is socio-religious.

The work emphasizes social and religious aspects because there are many religious ideals in the plot. The importance of religion in Delisa's Memorizing Sha lat film can be seen in the actions and behavior of the main character Delisa throughout her life. "A

(9)

488

person's level of understanding of religion and adherence to his views," describes religiosity.

The Form of Moral Messages in the Delisa Prayer Memorizing Film

1. Prayer is better than sleep

Prayer is Better Than Sleep seen in the opening scene at 01:53. Aisyah shouted to Delisa's house to wake her up so she could pray. Aisyah talked with Fatimah, Delisa talked with Ummi, and Aisyah talked with Delisa in the order of 2 minutes 01:53. The message to be conveyed to the audience in this frame is that prayer is better than sleeping, because today's society often delays prayer times, such as still sleeping, still working, and so on. Prayer should be done slowly and gently, and invite others to pray. to encourage others to do good.

2. Don't Be Jealous and Envy

At 09:10-10:49 minutes, you can witness this scene. In the series of opening scenes, UmiAisyah cries because of Delisa's necklace which she claims is better than the necklace given to her when she passed the dhikr. To convey the lesson I want to convey, we must always be grateful for what we have, namely advice not to be jealous and be careful with what we have, we must always be grateful for what we have. Where the current culture is less grateful for what it has, it creates a sense of belonging that leads to desirable activities such as robbery, gambling, and prostitution to get what others need.

3. Love for Others

Syntax describing the moral of love can be seen throughout the Love for Others series, including how the shooting settings show family and community relationships, and how relationships with parents, siblings, teachers, and other communities are depicted.

4. Sincere without expecting a gift

At the end of Delisa's interview with Ustadz Rahman and Delisa's conversation with Abi. In that context, the message I want to convey is that when we are honest, everything is easy; this is a moral lesson that everyone should learn; sincerity teaches us to be patient and appreciative, and life must go on even in the face of adversity; sincerity also means doing something without expecting anything in return, and everything we do should be motivated by an honest intention to gain the pleasure of Allah.

5. Pray with khusyu

The dialogue process is found in the script, minutes 27:29-27:38, in the conversation of the opening sequence between Ustadz Rahman and Delisa. In this context, the lesson is that when we pray, we must take it seriously, that is, we must concentrate and not be easily influenced by our surroundings.

Delisa performed her first prayer in the film by following the directions of Ustadz Rahman.

Delisa remained calm despite being rocked by the earthquake and tsunami.

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS Conclusion

Memorization Film Sha latDelisawhich is adapted from TereLiye's novel with the same title is a literary work in which the researcher discusses the meaning of religiosity.

Many religious values can be learned from this film, especially from Delisa's character. We can learn about religious ideals and become more obedient to our religion by watching this film. The conclusion is :

1. The message package in Delisa's Memorizing Prayer film is described as a religious drama film. The subtleties of character issues are represented successfully due to the well-structured storyline, and the setting of shooting in pictures with an advanced plot makes the message conveyed easy to grasp. Morality, which combines religious and social conventions, is the film's fundamental focus. The director's moral lessons are packaged in simple dialogues with the main character, a girl named Delisa, who overcomes the sadness of losing a loved one with her fortitude and optimism. The presentation is wrapped in a religious component in the simplicity that is characteristic of people's lives in general, so it deserves

to be a family spectacle. The use of language in this film can highlight the moral lessons to be conveyed, and the plot becomes simple. to be understood

& accepted in society.

2. In the findings of the video analysis, Delisa's Shalat Memorizing frame shows a morally significant statement.

The moral principles in this video are:

praying is better than sleeping, not being jealous and alert, loving people, being honest without expecting anything in return, and praying fervently.

Suggestion

Encouraging all young Indonesian film components to continue working to create films with strong moral values and always include moral teachings in the films shown, so that they are not only entertaining but also serve as social lessons. The public must be more aware of the importance of morality and the formation of good morals. if they watch the work of young Indonesian artists who have moral qualities.
