They were
feedingon Bumelia angustifolia.

thethorax subdorsal and lateral fine faint yellow lines, which
become
brokenintoobliqueson theabdomen,
running from subdorsal anterioron one segment backwards tostigmatal posterior on the next; the last,on joints 11-12,israther the heaviestand is followed byaweak
subdorsal lineohjoints 12-13,notoblique.The
surfaceisfinelypepperedin purple and white, the obliquelinesbeing withoutthesedots. Spiracles ocherous, feetreddish; abdominal feetofjoints7 to 10 heavily mottled in purple and white overtheir bases and,inthedark specimen, up to the substig matal linecoveringjoints6to n.Cocoon
slight, like thinparchment, spun among
leaves at thesurface ofthe
ground.
Dr. Dyar mentioned another
result ofMr. Schwarz's
brief stop atKey West, namely,
thedetermination
of thefood
plant ofMieza igninix Walker. These
larvaewere found on
theBumelia august if
oliawith
theLitodonta
larva,and
amoth has
justemerged. According
toDr. Dyar
this isundoubtedly
thesame
planton which Mrs. Slosson
originallyfound
the species,but
itwas
unidentifiedthen and has remained
so tillnow.*
