The word of “Simultaneous method”in the title, seems has no meaning either in the introduction or in the discussion, and considering the journal scope it is better to be changed such as “using gamma irradiation method”

The insulation of cellulose must state clearly especially how to remove lignin as well as hemicelluloce from the rice straw. Otherwise, the lignin will still be in the sample and many functional groups will be observed from FTIR.

It is said that “FTIR spectra cellulose-MBA-AA indicates the occurrence of crosslinking N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) and grafting from acrylic acid because it appears that there are no peaks in the FTIR spectra pure cellulose.”

How did the crosslinking and grafting reactions happen? As consequnecy of the reaction, some functional groups may disappear and make a new chemical bond (new functional group).

How about the existance of polyacrilic acid homopolymer which have not been removed.

It is said that “The fig.8 indicates that the optimum adsorption of Pb is 90.28% at neutral (pH ± 7). ..”

However, tt is contradiction with Fig. 6 where the adsorption of Pb could reach more than 98%. How it can be explaned.

Final comments and recommendations:

Since rice straw is a lignocellulose, the author must clearly explane the purification and the purity of cellulose, otherwise, the role of lignin and hemicellulose sholud be explaned.

The author must also consider the existance of poly(acrilic acid) homopolymer which may not grafted in the cellulose but take a role in the Pb absorption.

The Author must rechek the references, since there are fatal errors in citation and listing.
