For English teachers, the result of this research can be the alternative for their English teaching, especially in the teaching of reading comprehension in retelling text. For next researchers, the result of this study can be some additional information to find the new research gaps from the problem formulation that this research had before, and another suggestion is to develop the better learning materials that can be used, except the last for me strategy on the students' reading comprehension.
Problem Limitation
Since the higher the score on reading comprehension, the better the score students get on reading comprehension on the recount text.
Definition of Key Terms
The students then discuss in groups, after the whole group reads the words that the students have written, the students try to find the meaning of the words that the students find confusing. Comprehension can mean the process by which a person understands the meaning of written or spoken language.
Hypothesis
Null Hypothesis (Ho): There is no significant effect of Save the Last Word for Me strategy on the reading comprehension of second grade students at Madresah Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al - Qodiri I Jember. Alternative hypothesis (Ha): There is a significant effect of Save the Last Word for Me strategy on the reading comprehension of second grade students in Madresah Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al - Qodiri I Jember.

RESEARCH METHOD
Population and Sample
Population is a generalization of a group consisting of object or subject which has several qualities and characteristics that were chosen to be studied and concluded by the researcher.30 Based on the above statement, the populations of this research were 8th grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al - qadiri I Jember in the academic year 2022/2023. Sample was taken from most of the population sampling techniques were used and the researcher used cluster random sampling. Furthermore, there were two classes of the population used in this study, where two classes from the entire population.
For this reason the researcher decided to conduct the research class VIII B was the experimental class and VIII C was the control class.

It was important to note that after class, students counted the text for reading comprehension using the Save the Last Word for Me strategy. To see how good the test was, i.e. its validity and reliability, the instruments in this study should have. This validity referred to whether the tests seemed relevant and appropriate to what is being assessed on the surface.
So the test has face validity when it looks clear to the students, even the test maker. According to Sujarweni, content validity is evidence based on the content of the test, including the relationship between the content of the test and the construct that the test is designed to measure. This means that this validity was to compare the content of the test with learning material that has been taught before and the material is consistent with the learning objectives of the curriculum.33.
Technique of Data Analysis
Pre-test is the student's score before the researcher gave the treatment of the Save the Last Word for Me strategy. This result can be interpreted that there was an effect of the Save the Last Word for Me strategy on students' reading comprehension of 2nd grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al-Qodiri I Jember in the academic year. This means that there was an effect of the Save the Last Word for Me strategy on the students' reading comprehension of 2nd grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al-Qodiri I Jember in the academic year 2022/2023.
So using the Save the Last Word strategy has been effective for me with second graders. This means that the Save the Last Word for Me strategy did not affect the reading comprehension of second grade students in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al-Qodiri I Jember in the academic year 2022/2023. There was a previous research that proves the results of this research, the effect of using the Save the Last Word for me strategy on students' reading comprehension, it was an article by Siti Shanniyah titled "The Effect of the Save the Last Word for Me Strategy on Students". Reading Comprehension in Repetitive Text in the Eighth Grade of SMPN 2 Sukoharjo Academic Year 2018/2019”.
Based on the above explanation, the research of the "Effect of the Save the Last For Me Strategy on Students' Reading Comprehension" of second grade students at Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al-Qodiri I Jember Madrasah in the academic year can be implemented and developed as a lesson. strategy that can give an effect on the reading comprehension of students in the second grade in Madresah Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al-Qodiri I Jember. Based on the analysis of the findings, it can be concluded that there was an effect of the Save the Last Word for Me strategy on the reading comprehension of the second grade students in Tsanawiyah Unggulan Al-Qodiri I Jember Madrasah. So using the Save the Last Word for Me strategy shows that relevance matters.

Description of Data
Data Analysis
In this part, the researcher obtains data from two classes, the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class followed the Save the Last Word for Me strategy, while the learning strategy and the control class were taught by reading aloud.
Descriptive Analysis
Validity and Reliability of Test
Based on the result, it could be concluded that the test instrument has been validated and is ready to be tried out to students. In this research, the researcher used Cronbach's Alpha by SPSS Statistic 22 version to determine the reliability of the instrument. Based on the result above, it showed that significant value was 0.200 which means it was greater than 0.05, it can be concluded that the data was normally distributed.
Based on the output above, it can be seen that the significance value (Sig), based on Mean was 0.352 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the variance of the experimental class post-test data and control class post-test data was homogeneous . Based on the preliminary test of statistical analysis, it can be found that the data was analyzed using T-test. Based on the data above, the descriptive results of the assessment of the data analysis ability using SPSS software showed for the experimental and control classes.
Moreover, from the above output data table, it was known that the value for the “Average Difference” was 6.36364. This value showed the difference between the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and the average learning outcomes of students in the control class. 2.49765 to confidence interval of the difference).
Hypothesis Testing
The basis for deciding on independent sample T-test was as follows: . 1) If the value is Sig. Discussion
The results data in the previous description show that the use of Save the Last Word for Me strategy was effective and alternative strategy in reading comprehension. Using Save the Last Word for Me strategy as learning strategy made students easier to understand reading comprehension, easy to do. After completing the treatment and analyzing the data, it can be seen that Save the Last Word for Me strategy can improve students' reading comprehension in retelling text.
In this research, researcher used Save the Last Word for Me strategy to help junior high school students. A comparison between Save the last word for me strategy and Listen - Read - Discuss on students' reading comprehension at SMP 1 Teluk Pinang. The influence of "Save the last word for me" strategy on students' reading comprehension in retelling text at the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Sukoharjo.

Suggestion
Disajikan dengan teks narasi tentang pengalaman, siswa dapat menentukan salah satu rincian peristiwa dalam teks tersebut. Setelah semua orang menemukan arti kata yang ditulis siswa, barulah kata tersebut menjadi kata terakhir bagi mereka, oleh karena itu mereka harus memperhatikan dengan sungguh-sungguh agar mendapatkan kata akhir yang dapat mereka bacakan di depan kelas. Guru mempersiapkan siswa secara fisik untuk mengikuti proses pembelajaran dengan menghadiri dan memeriksa kebersihan kelas dan secara psikologis dengan mengajak siswa berdoa bersama.
Saat membaca nyaring, siswa disuguhkan sejumlah pertanyaan dan siswa diberi kesempatan untuk bertanya tentang teks menceritakan kembali. Guru dan siswa bersama-sama membuat rangkuman materi yang dipelajari pada pertemuan ini.
