Prakata
Buku English for Elementary School Grade III ini lebih menekankan kemampuan siswa untuk menggunakan bahasa Inggris secara lisan. Oleh karena itu, buku ini menyajikan materi yang dapat memotivasi siswa untuk berani berbicara meskipun dengan penguasaan kosakata yang terbatas.
Meskipun mengutamakan pada kemampuan lisan, bukan berarti buku ini tidak mempunyai muatan materi tata bahasa. Materi tata bahasa dalam buku ini disajikan secara terpadu sehingga materi yang disajikan tidak hanya menjadi pengetahuan, tetapi juga bisa diaplikasikan oleh siswa. Selain itu, buku ini juga menyajikan berbagai aktivitas permainan yang selain menyenangkan, juga menuntut siswa untuk berpikir dan mengulang kembali materi yang telah dipelajari.
Sebagian besar aktivitas dalam buku ini diperuntukkan bagi siswa. Meskipun demikian, peran guru sebagai mediator dan pihak yang memperkenalkan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa kedua (English as Second Language) sangat penting dan tidak dapat ditinggalkan.
Penulis telah berusaha secara maksimal untuk menyusun buku ini. Akan tetapi, kontribusi berupa kritik atau saran terhadap segala hal tentang buku ini sangat diharapkan.
Akhirnya, semoga buku ini dapat memberi sebuah warna baru di tengah-tengah maraknya buku bahasa Inggris untuk SD.

Let’s Speak
Bagian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengenalkan dan menunjukkan kepada siswa praktik penggunaan bahasa Inggris secara langsung dalam bentuk dialog.
Berikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk membaca berpasangan seperti layaknya orang bercakap-cakap. Gambar-gambar diberikan untuk memudahkan pemahaman siswa dalam memahami materi yang sedang dibicarakan. Guru bertugas membetulkan cara baca dan pengucapan atau pronunciation yang keliru.
Dalam setiap lesson terdapat ungkapan-ungkapan yang berhubungan dengan tema bahasan pada lesson tersebut dan juga ungkapan khusus yang perlu disampaikan kepada siswa. Terangkan penggunaan ungkapan khusus tersebut dan berikan contoh kasus lain, dan siswa dapat menggunakan ungkapan serupa.

Look and Say
Bagian ini terfokus pada tema bahasan pada lesson tersebut, berbentuk tanya jawab dan ditunjang dengan gambar. Selalu tekankan untuk menjelaskan perbedaan yang terjadi pada pronoun (kata ganti): he, she, dan it. Juga pronoun dalam bentuk objek (me, him, her, it, you, us, them) dan kata ganti milik (my, her, his, its, your, their, our).
Format tanya jawab dimaksudkan agar siswa langsung bisa memahami suatu ide dalam konteks kalimat dan praktis dalam penggunaannya, bukan makna per kata. Pemahaman ditunjang dengan gambar.
Contoh lengkap selalu diberikan dan berikutnya adalah tugas siswa untuk mengisi bagian yang hilang.
Ketika membahas jawaban, berikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk membaca ulang tanya-jawab pendek tersebut. Guru kembali berperan membetulkan cara baca dan pengucapan yang keliru.
