To fulfill the role of the English language, it is necessary to push things to achieve maximum learning performance. Student learning achievement is what students achieve in the process of teaching and learning activities by bringing a change and information about a person's behavior. It must be admitted that the most important thing in the development of students' learning outcomes is parents.

With encouragement and good conditions from parents, students will achieve good academic results. From the above explanation, we can conclude that parents play an important role in determining the academic performance of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Tallo. The researcher conducted a study on the influence of parents' role on students' academic achievement in English.

How is the influence of parents' role on students' learning performance in English learning at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Tallo. To know the important role of parents in improving students' learning of English at Smk Muhammadiyah 4 Tallo. To know if there is a relationship between parental role and students learning to achieve English at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Tallo.

It is expected that the results of this research will be useful information for people about the influence of parents' role on students' academic achievement in English subjects at school.

Learning success is inseparable from learning activity, because learning is a process, and achievements are the result of the process. According to Lanawati, learning achievement is the result of the teacher's evaluation of the learning process and the learning achievement of the students according to the learning objectives regarding the content of the lesson and the behavior expected of the students.

This means that learning success can only be known if the students' learning success is assessed. Because the function of academic success is not only as an indicator of success in an individual field of study, but also as an indicator of the quality of educational institutions. Learning success is also useful as feedback for teachers when implementing the English learning process.

English language learning achievement can be expressed in the form of letter symbols or sentences to conclude the results achieved by students. Experts in the fields of education and psychology try to identify the factors that influence learning achievement. By knowing the factors that influence the learning achievement, the implementers and the participants of learning activities can provide positive interventions to improve the learning achievement to be achieved.

Implicitly, there are two factors that influence the learning performance of children, namely internal factor and external factors. Ahmadi and Supriyono factor that affects the learning achievement is factor within oneself (internal factor) and from outside (external factor) of the individual. Family factors or parents are one of the external factors (beyond the student himself) that influence learning performance or performance learning.

Parents who are less supportive and do not motivate their children to learn will hinder their children's academic achievements. Based on the results of one of the researchers' interviews with students, it can be seen that students who have less satisfactory academic achievements in learning English tend to claim that English lessons are less fun. Based on the phenomenon, the diversity of students' attitudes in the field of English was related to the learning process, which leads to the achievement of students' academic success.

One of the factors that play an important role is a person's mental attitude, which includes interest in the lesson. The students' interest in the lessons enables concentration of the mind and even the excitement of the learning effort itself.

The questions refer to the influence of the role of parents on the achievements of students in learning English, as a motivator, as an example, as a facilitator, as a source of knowledge, as a coordinator. In the first part, a description of the data is presented, followed by findings on the aspects of each statement in order to answer the research questions about the influence of the role of parents on the students' achievements in learning English, and at the end, the discussion deals with the interpretation of the findings in the research. In the questionnaire, the researcher presented 20 questions related to the influence of the role of parents on the achievements of students in learning English.

To find out the parents' role on student performance in Muhammadiyah 4 Tallo Senior High School in terms of motivation that it can be seen from the students' respondent. If the t-test value is higher than t-table at the level of significance 0.5 and degree of freedom (df) 22 (N therefore the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. In this part, the discussion covers the interpretation of the research results derived from the result of the influence of the role of parents in relation to the students' performance in learning English at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Tallo. Based on the results, the role of parents in relation to students' performance in learning includes parents as motivator, parents as role model, parents as facilitator, parents as source of knowledge and parents as coordinator. To determine the level of parents' role in relation to students' performance in learning English at SMK Muhammadiyah 4 Tallo, the researcher measures it by using words always, often, sometimes, rarely and never in the questionnaire.

These words represent the level of parents' differences in giving their role as parents to their children. In addition, the researcher also uses the students' report to know more about the impact of parents' role on the students' achievement in English language learning. The motivation to learn from parents is a real form of the importance of the role of parents in the education of their children.

There are four things that become the role of parents as a model that increases students in terms of learning in this research. For that, child development is strongly influenced by the role of parents as a source of knowledge for children. English learning performance (report) based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that the parents that there is significant improvement in the influence of parents' role regarding the students' performance in English learning among the eleventh grade students of Smk Muhammadiyah 4 Tallo categorized as "excellent".
