Instruction
Please make an argumentative essay of 350 – 600 words and 5 paragraphs of one of the following topics. Your essay should include introduction, body, and conclusion. Your essay should use a combination of present, past, and perfect tenses. You may look for data to support your argument, however, please make citation from the source you take. Be careful while paraphrasing someone’s ideas. You may read but should write from your own understanding and sentence (not someone else). Any attempt to plagiarism (copy and paste answer) will be considered as cheating.
Topics to choose – please choose ONE
1. Social media manners. In today’s society, the use of smartphone and social media has become a necessity. most people use smartphones sparingly, but there are still people who spend too much of their time on smartphones as if they are addicted to them. Are there times when you think someone is using his/her phone in a rude manner or inappropriate situation? Elaborate your answer.
2. Health & Lifestyle. Nobody can deny that doing exercise or working out gives so many benefits. Although at the moment, majority of students are still learning from home, they are getting risk of obesity and health problems due to sitting in front of computers for many hours. Should gym classes be mandatory for college students in onsite session? Elaborate your answer.
3. Culture. Indonesia has just finished holding an international motorcycle race event which is MotoGP 2 at Mandalika, Lombok. In this event, the committee asked for a help from a local rain shaman to stop the rain and clear the weather for the event.
However, it sparked a controversy among Indonesian citizens. Some people appreciate the rain shaman’s work, but the others mocked it. What is your opinion? Elaborate your answer.
