Title of thesis: The comparison of students' speaking skills between offline and online class at SMA 7 Pinrang. The purpose of this research is to know the difference between students' speaking skills through offline and online class at SMA 7 Pinrang.

This means that there is no significant difference. Students' speaking skills between offline and online class. The agreement between the score can see the result of the average score.

This means that there is no significant difference in the students' speaking ability between Offline and Online class. The similarity of the result can see the result of the average result.

According to Ladouse, speaking is described as the activity as the ability to express oneself in the situation, or the activity to report actions, or situation in precise words or the ability to speak or to express a series of ideas fluently. 9 Furthermore, Wilson defines speaking as the development of the relationship between speaker and listener. 10 Another definition comes from Cameron. First, speaking activities provide rehearsal opportunities or chances to practice real speaking in the safety of the classroom.15 Second, speaking tasks in which students try to use any or all of the languages ​​they know provide feedback for both teachers and students. Teachers should find the activities that can encourage students to actively engage in the activities.

Being involved in the classroom activities and being able to communicate with other students can increase their motivation to learn English. Many students' speech in the classroom is responsive: short answers to the teacher - or student-initiated questions or comments. The students usually get feedback in the teaching and learning process, in the classroom or outside the classroom.

This statement means that a teacher can use any teaching strategy for the purpose of students learning and practicing. Speaking ability is a language skill that is a proof and a hallmark of language teaching and learning. According to the statements of Woods and Lander, we can conclude that speaking ability is the ability to speak and communicate with the interlocutor fluently and intelligibly. 28.

Isman revealed that online modeling is the use of internet networks by students in the learning process.15 Combined Online is a learning model that combines conventional learning with information technology as outlined on the website so that students can access freely. The term online learning models (OLM) through the different stages in the first phase is used as a description of the learning system that uses computer-based Internet technology. Therefore, strategy development plays a very important role in the effective and useful implementation of e-learning.

After the e-learning program is introduced to all members of the organization, various activities must be carried out to maintain the level of member participation in the e-learning program and how to maintain participant's learning satisfaction in the training. After e-learning is planned and implemented, an evaluation should be carried out to find out the results done, the shortcomings and the benefits in the process of e-learning activities. Offline learning (face-to-face) is a learning model that is still carried out and is very often used in the learning process.

In offline learning, the teacher or student uses different methods in the learning process to make the learning process more active and interesting.

Conceptual Framework

So in this research, the researcher wants to know about the comparison of students' speaking skills when they learn online and offline. According to Dabbagh, online learning is an open and distributed learning environment that uses pedagogical tools, enabled by the Internet and web-based technologies, to facilitate learning and knowledge construction through meaningful action and interaction. So in this research the researcher wants to know about the speaking skills of the students in online learning. Based on the big Indonesian dictionary, the meaning of the word Luring (offline) comes from the acronym "outside the network", which means to be disconnected from a computer network (offline).

So in this research, the researcher wants to know about the speaking skills of students in offline learning.

METHODOLOGY OF THE RESEARCH

The researcher takes into account in choosing the purposive sampling technique, because the researcher wants to gain deep information with the right subjects that have deep understanding and skills, the researcher will take 60 students who have followed the research criteria. Technique data analysis in this research used descriptive statistical techniques and inferential statistics to facilitate research data analysis, the researcher will use SPSS. The speaking ability of the students was from class X MIPA 4 which is identified after analyzing the results data by the teacher.

Another term of the result data that showed in this research is about the offline classroom, the researcher also took the students' speaking scores from the teacher and analyzed it, the scores were collected into two types, which by classifying into class which was taught by the offline class, this class is probably given by the offline class which was developed from class X MIPA 2. The speaking ability of the students was from class X MIPA 2 which is identified after analyzing the result data from the teacher.

The diagram above explained the quality of the students' speech, as we know that diagrams are graphical representations that are used to explain the relationship and connection between the parts of the illustration in the research.37 This diagram supported the result of the research for a representative indicator, you can see from the diagram the quality of class X MIPA 2 category of good skills. The term of the third research question refers to the comparison of the differentiated speaking skill, whether the researcher will find a differentiated comparison of the two speaking skills. The researcher used the Shapiro-Wilk test of SPSS v22 to perform a test of normality of the data as a requirement of the independent T-test.

The researcher conducted to find out the students' speaking ability after teaching online and offline technique in teaching speaking.'offline is one of the techniques that the teacher could use to teach English, especially in speaking after spreading of covid-19 today.'' From the scores of the students in X MIPA 4, as taught by an online class with focused study of speaking well. The result of the students' speaking quality both online and offline was very good because the scores of students were categorized as very good, which is above KKM score of 75.00, so it can be concluded that the speaking skills of the students in class X MIPA 4 can be categorized as very good.''.

Students who are successful should learn about the learning method if it has a high score in the quantitative evaluation of the criteria.38 The conclusion of the findings was that the speaking quality of the students is very good, because the results of the students are very good, so it can be concluded that the speaking abilities of students of class X MIPA 2, which are categorized as very good.'. It can be said that there are other more influential factors such as the selection of teaching methods, the selection of the right material, the interaction or motivation of students, which are more important than offline learning or online learning methods. The last result of the data showed the difference between the result data from the online and offline lessons. Students who learned in offline classes are the same as offline classes, although it looks easier to learn, if they have a smartphone and connect to the Internet, they can learn whenever and wherever they are. Even when they are alone, they can still learn.

The students' speaking skill from class X MIPA 4 which identifies after the analysis of the result data of the teacher.
