Listening is the one of the most important activities in learning English.
Listening skill must be learn before another skills. There are many experts that defined listening. According to Alcantara, et al (2003:29) listening is a mental operation involving process sound waves, interpreting their meaning, and storing their meaning in memory. This opinion have gist meaning that, listening is someone catch a meaning of other people with use voice and the meaning can we say as a message. Moreover, listening is happened when the students or learners communicate with the teacher and other friends, in this situation occurs dialog between teacher and the students about the lesson that they learn in learning English.
Learning listening is act of understanding an oral message. The students have to achieve the ability to comprehend materials and understanding spoken materials.
According to Deiner (2013:95) listening is a complex of learning. It involves hearing that allows for auditory identification and discrimination. It mean that, the writer thinks learning listening is learning to observe and listen to the points in which learning listening involves hearing. In learning listening t the students should understand the oral message, understand of listen in language and different pronouncation. Then, the students can get information from it and give opinion in the class.
Motivation is need by every people their life because motivation is an important factor for the satisfaction we get from activities we are involve. Furthermore, Armstrong (2004:58) states that a motive is reason for doing something. Motivation is concerned with the factors that influence people to behave in certain ways. This definition has meaning that motivation is activity have reason to do something with anxienty, interested, wish and feel enjoy. The behavior is a factors to be motive students in learning. Motivation has great influence for students in reaching their
3 purpose. The students do something to get their
necessity or the purpose that they want to get.
The teachers can see their student’s motivation in learning process. It can be seen by the characteristic of students’ motivation.
According to Sardiman(2009 :83) the students’
motivation has four characteristics:
a. Do the task intensively.
The student who has high motivation in learning will show their high interest and full attention to the learning tasks and does a task continually before the task is finished. If the teacher gives task at school, the students will do seriously. They will not make noisy because it can make their friend feel uncomfortable.

The students have problem in learning, they will solve it seriously. They always find the solution whatever the way to solve or have willingness to do it
c. Never give up easily.
If the students get the problem in learning they never give up easily. They will find the solution to solve it. They cannot enjoy before the find the solution about their problem.
d. Never get bored to do daily task.
The students who have high motivation will more focus and serious inlearning without getting bored when their teachers give them a task regularly.
Cartoon movie is generally understand as any drawing which through the use of humour satire or caricature provakes response in its audience. Then, Haris (2005:311) stated that cartoons is overwhelmigly speak in real human voices, but usually under significan distortions to re-enforce the clear visual fictiveness. Real voices tend to be more satisfying for users, easier to understand, and more. Comfortable to listen, but everything the say must be recorded far before the interaction, which reduces their ru-time flexibility dramatically.
