English Festival 2012 I. Format of the Contest

a. The English Festival 2012 will be held on 07 – 08 April 2012 at the Faculty of Humanities, Airlangga University. The competition will consist of three contests:

 English Debate Contest (EDC) for Senior High School (SMA)

 Speech Contest for Junior High School (SMP)

 Story Telling for Elementary School (SD)

b. The Technical Meeting (TM) will be held at Faculty of Humanities, Airlangga University.

 Story Telling at Thursday, 03 April 2012 II. Registration

a. Contestant must fill in the Registration Form.

b. Contestant must enclose two recent photos (3X4) of him/her and copy of his/her student’s card with the Registration Form.

c. Each registration’s requirement must be submitted before the day of competition (Technical Meeting).

d. Registration Fee are:

 English Debate Contest (EDC) : Rp. 150.000,00/team

 Speech Contest : Rp. 70.000,00/contestant

 Story Telling : Rp. 40.000,00/contestant

 All Tutors : Rp. 15.000,00 (certificate and lunch) e. Registration is opened from 05 March till 03 April 2012, at the Faculty of Humanities

1st floor in this specific time below:

 Monday – Thursday : 08.00 - 12.00 a.m. and 01.00 – 04.30 p.m.

 Friday : 08.00 - 12.00 a.m. and 01.00 – 04.30 p.m.

III. Contestant’s Eligibility

a. Contestant must register themselves in the competition before the deadline.

b. Contestant may not register themselves simultaneously in the two contests held in the English Festival 2012.

c. For contestant from outside Surabaya, may register his/herself by sending/transferring the Registration Fee to BCA, account number 3890439097 pro Syarifah Ainun Afiz, phone number: 0896 7593 8111 (please confirm before and after sending the Registration Fee, please send the pay-check (bukti transfer) via e-mail ([email protected])). Any payment method has to be paid during the registration time.

d. Contestant should come 30 minutes before re-registration. For those who do not do the re-registration themselves before the competition will be considered resigning from the competition. Re-registration will take place in the 1st floor, Hall of Faculty of Humanities, Airlangga University.

e. Contestants are eligible to participate if and only of they are enrolled as students in their school, thus they are required to bring student’s card on the day of the competition.

f. The formation of a team may be changed before the start of preliminary round (day 1).

And would have to definitive on the preliminary, elimination, and final round (day 2).

Any changes on the formation of a team must be informed to the committee on the re- registration. At least 3 days before the competition.

g. The committee has the right to investigate and expel any team or person that is not eligible to participate.

h. The judge’s decision is final and binding.
