PT CIMB Niaga Auto Finance (formerly known as PT Saseka Gelora Leasing) was founded in 1981 and was primarily a leasing business. PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk started with a partial ownership of PT CIMB Niaga Auto Finance when it acquired shares of the company. After the merger of PT LippoBank Tbk into PT Bank Niaga Tbk in 2008, ownership of SGF was transferred to PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk.

In 2010, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk increased its ownership to 99.9%, with the remaining 0.01% of shares remaining owned by PT Niaga Management Citra (NMC). In June 2010, PT Saseka Gelora Finance changed its name to PT CIMB Niaga Auto Finance, followed by a logo change.

CIMB Niaga was also the winner of the Annual Report Awards 2013 in the Private Listed Financial Company category for the 11th time in a row. The largest contributor to this revenue was due to the net interest margin spread in the liquidity management and commercial paper portfolio of Rp 2,984 billion (78.4%), followed by income from foreign exchange transactions reaching Rp 655 billion (17.2%) and from commercial paper trading , which reached Rp 183 billion (5%). To mitigate risk, the commercial paper trading unit has completed a rebranding of existing commercial paper portfolios, in addition to maintaining its role as Primary dealer of government bonds and sales agent for retail ORI.

TRANSACTION BANKING

To enhance cash management services, the Company has integrated its Internet banking services for corporate clients – the BizChannel@CIMB – with flagship products for individual segments, the Rekening Ponsel to provide end-to-end electronic banking solutions. Transfer Same Day Free” and CIMB Money Transfer service widely used by Indonesian workers and students living overseas.
