Students' personality background and students' speaking ability will correlate using Pearson Product Moment.
The Hypothesis
This means that the writer has actually and precisely described all the phenomena arising from the subject of research using a statistical method. Correlative quantification is a research method in which the writer has two or more quantitative variables that form the same groups of subjects, and the writer tries to determine whether there is a relationship between the two variables. The subjects of this research were first semester students of the English Department of Makassar Muhammadiyah University.
The populations of this research were the first semester students of the English Department of Makassar Muhammadiyah University in the academic year 2015/2016. The sample of this research was one class among 10 classes and the number of students was 42 students. In the application of purposive sampling, the writer selects a class as a sample based on their knowledge of the state of the population.
In fact, the situation of the students selected for the sample was ideal because they are relatively the same age and their knowledge of the English language is relatively homogeneous.
Research Variable and Indicator
The dependent variable was the students' speaking ability, indicated by the indicator (accuracy related to grammar, and fluency related to self-confidence).

This formula is used to find the effect of personality (Introversion-Extroversion) on students' speaking ability. Procedure of Collecting Data
Technique of Data Analysis
To know the correlation of two variables at 5% significance level, the researcher used the df formula. To know whether or not there is any significant correlation between variable X and variable Y, the researcher first formulated (Alternative Hypothesis) and (Null Hypothesis).

Discussion
If we look at the statistical description of the mean and standard deviation score of the two groups (extrovert and introvert) on speaking score, it can be made clear that there was a difference between the extrovert and the introvert students on their English speaking ability, the extrovert students are accept that he has a good and better ability to speak than Introvert.
