For many years when conducting indoor tire testing to failures, the tires to be tested to its maximum performance until failure or broken or many times tires were tested until tire explosion. Purpose is to evaluate margin of tire performance to the standard. Tire failure at drum test begins with the weakening of the bonds between components of the tires. The initial condition of this tire failure usually caused by a change at tire shape creating new frequency sound on the drum test machine due to uneven roundness or tire deformation. Tire shape deformation until the tire completely failures very often occurred in short time. Current methods to prevent tire completely failures / explode is by using wire rope crossing close to outer tire diameter or Y type-bulge detector close to outer diameter and section width of tested tire in order able to stop tire testing before tire explosion. When wire rope or Y type-bulge detector touched by deformed tires it will pull the wire and activated the limit switch to stop tire testing process. Since current system are not effective. Then other alternative like vibration measurement using sensor which analyzed with fast fourier transform is proposed.
