CHAPTER I 1. Backround (avoid misinterpretation of meaning)
Proper pronunciation in speaking practice has a very important role to show students' competence in the language learning process. Proper pronunciation can also prevent them from misinterpreting meaning when pronouncing certain words in the form of a series of sentences. To get achievement in the form of good pronunciation, the process of learning activities in the classroom can be one of the main keys. The learning process is expected to bridge students so that they can carry out speaking practice properly and the lecturer will play a role in facilitating them.

- found the significance of the use of youtube videos as a result of material development in teaching speaking.
CHAPTER 2
1. Previous Research
According to Kelly (2000), the main features of pronun-ciation is divided into phonemes and suprasegmental features. Phonemes are the different sounds within a language, it consists of two categories; consonant sounds and vowel sounds. Parts of Suprasegmental features include stress, intonation, and how sounds change in relation to speech. EFL students may have problems in pronouncing words, producing accurate phonemes or using accurate supra-segmental elements. Because students in Speaking 2 class need something to help them practice continuously, improve their ability in pronunciation, and make them interesting to learn in class, the researcher then proposed to use an application on their mobile device named "Hello English (HE)”. Learning using it means the students learn through Mobile Learning.
2. Some Pertinent Concepts
Mindong (2016) found that intermediate language learners used apps to access content and communicate on SNS and were not keen on studying parts. Participants believed that using apps helped them with their four-language skill (listening, reading, speaking, and writing), grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.
3. Theoretical Framework
Definition of Pronunciation According to Seidlhofer (1995), pronunciation is the production and perception of the significant sounds of a particular language in order to achieve meaning in contexts of language use. This comprises the production and perception of segmental sounds, of stressed and unstressed syllables, and of the „speech melody‟, or intonation. Also, the way we sound is influenced greatly by factors such as voice quality, speech rate and overall loudness. Whenever we say something, all these aspects are present simultaneously from the very start, even in a two-syllable utterance such as Hello!” Further Pronunciation definition taken from Oxford Dictionary states pronunciation is the way in which a language or a particular word or sound is spoken. If one is said to have "correct pronunciation", then it refers to both within a specific dialect.” A word can be spoken in different ways by various individuals or groups, depending on many factors, such as: the area in which they grew up, the area in which they now live, if they have a speech or voice disorder, their ethnic group, their social class, or their education. According to Fraenkel (1984), there are two main steps to learning how to pronounce a language.
CHAPTER 3 RESEARCH METHOD A. Quanti Setting
1. Research Location
The location of this research was conducted at SMP 1 Mengkendek, Mengkendek district, Tana Toraja Regency.
2. Research time
This research will take about one month
B. Population And Sample a. Population
The subjects in this study were students at junior high school 1 mengkendek especially grade 1 students
b. Sample
The researcher only took data from 30 grade 1 students to research how to improve pronunciation ability in English through YouTube videos.
C. Research Instrument
In this study, researchers used learning instruments in the form of LCDs, video conversations in English, and speakers.
D. Collecting Data
1. Observation of class activity
This is a direct observation of students by paying attention to student behavior in the learning process teach. So that researchers get a direct picture how student behavior, cooperation, and communication among students in groups and learning.
2. Methods of Measurement of Test Results
The test is a set of stimuli given to someone with a view to getting those answers can be used as a basis for determining a numerical score (Furchan, 2004).
Measurement of learning achievement test is done with a purpose determine the increase in student achievement. Test as well as one of thE series carried out in the activity of implementing cooperative learning type student team achievement divisions and Snowball Drilling in improving 54 student achievement. The tests carried out are in the form of formative tests carried out at the end of each lesson, the results of this test will be used determine the increase in student achievement through the application of cooperative learning type student team achievement division and Snowball Drilling.
E. DATA ANALYSIS Quantitative Data
Quantitative data in the form of cognitive learning outcomes, were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques by determining the presentation of learning completeness and the class mean.
