Part 1: Overview of Future Tenses (Negative, Interrogative, and Passive) with Adverbs 1. Future Simple (will)

o Pattern (Positive):

i. Subject + will + base verb

ii. Example: She will arrive tomorrow.

o Pattern (Negative):

i. Subject + will not (won’t) + base verb ii. Example: He will not attend the meeting.

o Pattern (Interrogative):

i. Will + subject + base verb?

ii. Example: Will they come to the party?

o Pattern (Passive):

i. Subject + will + be + past participle

ii. Example: The report will be completed by Friday.

Common Adverbs: tomorrow, next week, soon, in a year, later 2. Future Continuous

o Pattern (Positive):

Subject + will + be + verb(-ing)

▪ Example: I will be working all day tomorrow.

o Pattern (Negative):

Subject + will not + be + verb(-ing)

▪ Example: They will not be watching TV at 8 PM.

o Pattern (Interrogative):

Will + subject + be + verb(-ing)?

▪ Example: Will you be you attending the meeting?

o Pattern (Passive):

Subject + will + be + being + past participle (rare)

▪ Example: The project will be being reviewed during the week.

Common Adverbs: at 5 PM, tomorrow, all day, this time next week

3. Future Perfect

o Pattern (Positive):

Subject + will + have + past participle

▪ Example: He will have finished his homework by 6 PM.

o Pattern (Negative):

Subject + will not + have + past participle

▪ Example: They will not have completed the project by the deadline.

o Pattern (Interrogative):

Will + subject + have + past participle?

o Example: Will she have arrived by tomorrow morning?

o Pattern (Passive):

Subject + will + have + been + past participle

▪ Example: The documents will have been signed by Monday.

o Pattern (Positive):

Subject + will + have + been + verb(-ing)

▪ Example: By next year, I will have been working here for five years.

o Pattern (Negative):

Subject + will not + have + been + verb(-ing)

o Note: Passive form is rarely used for Future Perfect Continuous.
