ABSTRACT
Sometimes romantic relationships can cause problems. One of the behaviors currently discussed a lot related to romantic relationship is ghosting. The experience of getting ghosted can affect an individual's psychological condition. This study aims to obtain empirical data on the relationship between life satisfaction and the experience of being ghosted in early adult romantic relationships. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a negative relationship between life satisfaction and the experience of being ghosted. The research sample is 106 early adults with age criteria between 20 to 40 years who are not married or divorced, have been in a romantic relationship, and use the internet as main means of communication in romantic relationships. Data was collected using the Satisfaction with Life Scale and the Ghosting Experience scale. The data analysis technique used is by using product moment correlation analysis from Pearson. The results of data analysis get a correlation coefficient (rxy) = - 0.237 (p<0.01). This indicates that the accepted hypothesis is that there is a negative relationship between life satisfaction and ghosting experiences in early adult romantic relationships. This research will provide an overview of ghosting behavior in romantic relationships and serve as basis for adult seeking romantic relationships to be wary of ghosting behavior.
