Inclusive Economic Growth Deputy Pillar Lead
The Partnership for Inclusive Prosperity / Parseria ba Prosperidade Inklusivu (PROSIVU) Program is seeking an Inclusive Economic Growth Deputy Pillar Lead is to coordinate and help manage PROSIVU’s set of activities in relation to Aviation, Labour, Business Investment, Trade and ASEAN coordination.
PROSIVU is an Australian Government program supported by DT Global. PROSIVU is the next phase of Australia’s governance support to Timor-Leste. The program will extend Australia’s longstanding partnership with Timor-Leste in support of good governance and economic policy development. It is Australia’s primary program for providing support to Timor-Leste’s central government agencies and economic line-ministries.
The Economic Growth Deputy Pillar Lead will report to Pillar 1 Lead, PROSIVU.
This is a Locally Engaged Staff position. The inclusive Economic Growth Deputy Lead will have the qualifications, experience and skills as follows:
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in economics or public policy or related areas.
Postgraduate qualifications in a related area would be highly regarded.
Essential Experience and Knowledge
· Five to ten years’ experience working on development programs with a trade, economics or labour focus.
· Previous experience undertaking political economic analyses and developing strategies to support economic
development.
· Extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation of donor-funded programs, with a particular focus on qualitative
M&E.
· Previous experience managing a team of professional staff, preferably within the context of a donor-funded
program.
Skills
· Excellent communication, liaison and interpersonal skills within a cross-cultural environment.
· Ability to comprehend and analyse complex situations, provide appropriate advice and offer
practical solutions.
· Ability to present complex information in a way that is easily understandable and supports
evidence- based decision making, both verbally and in writing.
· Excellent English language skills (both written and oral).
· Fluency in Tetun.
Desirable
Has experience of working in M&E area, especially in the report consolidation lines.
Previous experience working on DFAT-funded programs.
Previous experience working with Government Agencies in the economic or governance field.
