The fear of Covid and hoping that he or she will be okay during the pandemic until it is over, is assumed to make someone will begin to care more about their health. This study aims to prove whether there is a significant correlation between expectations and fear of COVID-19 with Health Locus of Control. This study was conducted using correlational design. The researcher has collected data using the instruments of the adult hope scale, the fear of covid scale and the Multidimensional Health Locus of Control which have been adapted. The data were collected from 679 participants above 17 years old in Jakarta, using accidental sampling. The data were analyzed using Spearman Correlations technique. This study shows there is positive and significant relationship between hope and fear of CoVid-19 with health Locus of Control. This study also shows an indication that hope of having a better life in the future has a stronger correlation with HLOC than fear of CoVid-19. Through this research, we can guess that hope can overcome fear, especially in the context of this prolonged pandemic
