ABSTRACT
Asyiyah. The Effectiveness of Using BBC Learning English Application to Improve Students’ Pronunciation in English Consonant at Lintasan Imajinasi Bahasa Mahasiswa (LIBAM) IAIN Parepare, (Supervised by Haris Sunubi and Amzah)
This study aims to find out information about how the application of the BBC Learning English application is effective in improving the pronunciation skills of students in LIBAM IAIN Parepare.
The researcher applied the experimental quantitative research. While the research design used was Pre-Experimental Designs research in the form of One- Group Pretest-posttest Designs.The research instruments used were pre-test, treatment, post-test, and documentation. Based on the hypothesis test the researcher uses (df) is N-1, so 20-1 = 19, for ɑ = 0.05 and df = 19 in the t table amounted to 1,729 After comparing the amount of t obtained in the calculations listed in the t value it can be seen that t arithmetic is greater than t table. Where t count = 1.784 while t table = 1.729.
The result of this research find that the use of the BBC Learning English application is effective in improving the pronunciation skills of students in LIBAM IAIN Parepare based on these calculations that t count is greater than t table, thus the hypothesis is accepted
