Abstract
There are a lot of aspects that can cause environmental problems and one of them is human action. This project aims to show the reader that our actions can affect the natural environment. If we pay close attention to little detail in our daily life like reducing food waste, reducing the use of plastic bags, and managing waste, we are already in the process to help our environment recover. This project takes place in the agriculture sector which can be seen as the closest interaction between humans and the natural environment and focuses on the farmers’ habits in taking care of their plants. Following the research problem, there is a question that will be answered, the question is, how do farmers’ habits in Kopeng village affect the growth of crops? The theory used in this research to find the answer is Ecocriticism which focuses on the human and natural environment relationship.
The data gathered has been done in form of interviews, field study, library research, and note-taking, and the data is collected and analyzed using the qualitative research method.
The fiction as a final result of this research is expected to show the readers that we, with our habits, whether it’s good or bad, are the ones who can determine what the fate of our environment will be in the future.
