THE IMPACT OF JOB SATISFACTION AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL TOWARDS EMPLOYEES INTENTION TO STAY – A CASE STUDY OF

COMPANY XYZ

Based on previous studies, employee’s intention to stay has been significantly influenced by different variables, including job satisfaction and psychological capital.

This study applied the theory with different variables which analyzing the influence in

the retail industry, specifically Company XYZ. The objective of this study is to analyze

the whether the theory is eligible to be implemented in this company. Company XYZ

has been experiencing a rise in their employee turnover rate since 2015. Data from 169

respondents has been gathered through online survey. The researcher spread

questionnaires to the employees to the employee and did an informal interview with the

Operation Head - Regional Director Operation of Company XYZ. This study is using

SPSS software to calculate and analyze data gathered. Based on the result, it is proven

that pay has the largest value in job satisfaction variable and overall influencing

employees’ intention to stay with 76,9%, and Hope with 64,4% in psychological capital

variable. By having this research, it can help the company to analyze which factor

influencing employees’ intention to stay the most and also make a better strategy to
