Objective and Benefit of the Study
- Concept of Descriptive Text
 - Interactive Learning Approach

Writing is a psychological activity of the language user to put information into the written text. Second, experienced writers think about the audience they are writing for, as this will affect not only the form of the writing, but also the choice of language. In the drafting stage, writers focus on the fluency of the writing and are not concerned with grammatical accuracy or the neatness of the draft.
When students revise, they revise their texts based on the feedback given in the responding stage. The structure of descriptive text follows certain stages, the beginning, middle and last part of the text. When the learners are involved in the conversation, the grammatical structure of the language is displayed more clearly and made more accessible.
Communicative competence: all the elements of the communicative competence (grammatical, discourse, sociolinguistic, pragmatic and strategies) involve the person. The classroom turns into a supply ground where such challenges are nurtured and overcome with the help of the teacher and the cooperation with the other learners. Interaction involves not only the expression of one's own ideas, but also the understanding of those of others.
This allows the students to easily share information and also collaborate as an integral part of the learning process. It is very important to be aware of the latest trends in interactive learning before you get started.24.
Action Hypothesis
Interactive learning plays an important role in differentiation and they are extremely useful for classes with different levels. Interactive learning can turn out to be a bit complicated while helping the learners understand and retain the knowledge they receive through the process.
Operational Definition of Variables 1. Independent Variable (X)
Research Setting
Research Subject
Based on the teacher's experiences during the teaching and learning process and the students' performance test in descriptive text writing, the teacher found problems such as the students' inability to create descriptive text well.
Research Procedure
From the above definition, the author concludes that classroom action research is research in teaching and learning in the classroom, which aims to increase the ability of students and solve a problem in the learning process. In Classroom Action Research, the researcher wants to conduct the research in two cycles. Here is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) design proposed by McNiff Jean and Whitehead Jack:28.
Based on the McNiff Jean and Whitehead Jack research design, the research steps encompass four phases in each cycle. The colleague observes the students' activities, in this research the writer acted as a teacher who implemented an interactive teaching technique in this study. This is to know how far students have written descriptively using an interactive teaching technique.
In this step, the writer observes the learning process using an observation sheet. Reflection is an activity to analyze and draw conclusions based on test results and observations. Based on cycle 1 evaluation of the weakness that felt, and then the second cycle of action is developed, and so on.
If from cycle I, there are some students who are not successful, then the writer has to complete cycle 2. If all the students from cycle 2 succeeded, the cycle could be stopped only till cycle 2.
Data Collecting Method
- Test
 - Observation
 - Documentation
 - Field Note

Reflection is used to analyze the results of observation and testing, which are used as a basis for the next improvement cycle. The result in cycle 1 is for evaluation material and for reflection on the other research. In the research, the author will give the students two tests, that is, pre-test and post test.
The tests will get to know the students' performance before and after the learning process. After observing the subject's activities, the writer will conduct a pre-test to know the extent of the students' ability to write a descriptive paragraph before giving treatments. This was done to determine readiness for instructional program and to diagnose individuals' specific strengths and weaknesses in the ability to write a descriptive paragraph.
It was done to know the students' result in learning to write descriptive paragraph by using picture after giving two times of treatment. Is a monitoring and recording systematic to the phenomenon that is Investigate.29 Furthermore, the research will use activities given and whether or not they are bored with it. Documentation is a method used to obtain information from written sources or documents such as books, magazines, regulations, meeting notes and daily reports.30.
The researcher uses this method to obtain data about the history of the school, the amount of teachers, employed officials and students in SMP N 10 Metro. To collect the data more accurately, the writer will use field notes to make it easier to analyze the data.
Research Instrument
Instrument calibration is screening or examination of instrument elements that have been made by the researcher.31 In other words, it can be inferred that instrument calibration is a measuring scale that has been used for screening or examination of instruments.
Data Analysis Method
Tabulate the result of the test and find the mean of the pre-test and post-test.

The researcher used Interactive Learning Technique to improve the writing skills of the students. The researcher gave an instrument test, which is an observation sheet on which the students wrote a descriptive text. In addition, the researcher prepared an observation sheet consisting of a list of student names and a list of students. activities observed during the teaching learning process.
The result of students' score in post-test 1 can be seen in the table below. The result of students' activities in cycle I There is no aspect of the percentage of research frequency. In addition, the researcher made an observation sheet that consists of a list of students' names and a list of student activities that will be observed during the learning process.
This meant that the use of interactive learning technique was successful to improve students' writing skills. It can be concluded that the learning process went well and the students were more active in the classroom than cycle I. 4) Reflection. The result of cycle II is better than cycle I, it can be seen that most students have no difficulty describing the topic of the text.
The percentage of students who wrote a score in the Post Test I was 53.6%, while in the Post Test II it was 82.1%. Because the students already meet the indicators of cycle I and cycle II, the researcher comes.
