Hall Render partners made the $200,000 gift to the law school's $12 million IMPACT campaign to benefit William S. Hall—along with Render, Thompson and dozens of other attorneys at the firm—is grateful for the law school's commitment to providing an evening program.

Special recognition was given to students who are active or retired members of the military, in honor of Veterans Day. Professor Bravo discussed her research on human trafficking and the transatlantic slave trade at the University at Buffalo (SUNY) School of Law on March 10. On March 18 she presented "The End of the Age of Consent" at the Adolescents in Society Conference at Brooklyn Law School in Brooklyn, New York. Grimes Professor of Law and Director of the Center for International and Comparative Law, opened a new academic year at the Faculty of Law LL.M.
On February 26, Professor Orentlicher presented a paper at the Boston University School of Law for the 2011 Symposium of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. On April 14, Professor Orentlicher presented a talk in the Faculty Speaker Series at the University of Iowa College of Law. The students chose her to be a "hooder" at the 2011 commencement ceremony; the Executive Committee of the Law School chose her.
